"Daughter of the Emperor" is a bafflingly low depth story about a woman who died and was reborn into a foreign realm.

Even as far as Chapter 23, we know next to nothing about the world, its people, the MC's past life, or even how the MC spends her days.

She was born into a baby's body with a fully developed brain. She hasn't the ability to do anything except think, because her body is so weak. How is it that in an entire year she has not put any thought into her past life beyond a single passing statement that she wonders what her parents are ... doing? Surely her own sudden death and memories of her loving parents should warrant they be in her thoughts often. Does she not miss them?

What of her current surroundings? How is it that in a year, despite having a fully developed adult brain and literally nothing else to do, she has not had any meaningful thoughts on the language, the culture, the sciences or even the persons who surround her except for her father? Yet even of her father, she thinks very little. I count on one hand the ponderings of this MC. Was she merely stupid in her past life? Even a dog has deeper thoughts than she!

How is it that she isn't experiencing culture shock when she has been thrust into an foreign age with foreign people, foreign language, foreign culture and foreign science?

Why is it that she hasn't drawn a single parallel against her past life?

Like, good god, I can get down with the cuteness but this is just dull.

Ill be honest...im a bit biased writing this review since this has been the first manga I had ever read. I first read it in 2017, and dropped it since it had never updated on the site I was using. I then re-read it during 2019, and I remembered it being entertaining. And 2021 was when I finally re-read it and decided to just drop it.
The story was good at first, but it never had a plot. It was just the girl, Ariadna, coming into a whole different world...being cute with her father and his friends. And then one day she became 18 and ... it just went blank. Its really nothing special. There is absolutely no character development, Ariadna has the mental state of a 24 year old but she doesn't really "use" it(If you get what im trying to say....)she's immature and a little self centered in my opinion. And the people around her don't develop at all. It's like the author gave up and is just drawing for the sake of it.
The art is meh...you would think it would become a little bit better overtime, but the shading is kinda sucky and the characters just look meh.
The reason why I gave a 7 for enjoyment was just because my 2017 self love this manga. It was all I ever read and I enveloped myself in this fantasy world. But that was me 4 years ago, and I honestly think this manga would have had a big plot or something but it stayed the same.
This manga was overall not as enjoyable as others...and if you really want to read something I would recommend "Who made me princess"

I very much enjoy this manga! Yes the starting story is very cliche at the start given a few manga have followed suit with this whole "going back in time and re-living it", but the story hand in hand with the character development makes for a very interesting and fun read. The bond between farther and daughter is quite troubling at the start, but as the story moves on, more understanding and interest is shown between them, which just makes me want to read more! The art style is beautifully detailed where it needs to be and is very consistent with helping the story match ... the visuals as well.

Overall a good interesting read about a growing farther, daughter relationship (not in a weird way).

The art was beautiful and everyone was eerily beautiful (even the guys). The story itself has massive potential to be great but the author seems like they're not able to utilize that. There are discrepancies present with the art itself and so many things not discussed. Still an enjoyable read to pass time but it could have been so much better. One thing that bothered me was how much the author jumped around time points when important things seemed to happen. I wished the characters themselves were better, such as the MC and the love interest. Despite touting herself to have the mental maturity of ... a 40 year old, she acts very much like her physical age. It seems like the isekai aspect could have been more developed but is only used as an excuse to see the MC talk as a baby and comprehend everything.

There are some stories that revolve around the theme of the daughter of an Emperor. In the beginning, a lot is told about Ria's childhood. Which might be a bit boring if it goes on slowly. From the teen age on, the story moves much faster. I find it a shame that it does. One could have gotten here so much still out. I found it particularly unfortunate that Ria's admirer was so little dealt with. One could have made that so beautiful what from it what. Havel and Ahin are interesting characters, but you get little of them. One had from the teen age ... the feeling they wanted to bring the story only more to the end. When they met Ria and Havel at the negotiations and he approached her in the garden. You could have gotten a lot more out of that. Especially because he loves her and wants to marry her. One has the feeling that he just gave up quickly. Another blot would have been interesting here.

You can read the story, but in the end I find it disappointing how the story ended. What I still did not like, was then all the flashbacks of other characters. That's nice and as a little bonus ok, but that was too much for me. Sometimes it just didn't fit in. You are in the present and suddenly comes another scene, you have the feeling that something is missing. They come back to the point where they suddenly stopped, but it's not great.

The drawings and the color I find really great. It's nice to read a story not only in black and white. You notice here that much attention to detail is inside.
