At first story was a bit odd and maybe unnatural. I was kinda disappointed, because I have read Sugaru Miaki's "Three days of happiness" and it was absolute masterpiece to me. But later on it builds up on you starts giving the similar vibe as "TDH"/"How i sold my lifespan...".
Touches some philosophical questions and may inspire you to seek something special even when life isn't going the best way. As do main characters of this manga by making each other to desire living.
Artstyle is gorgeous, as other works of the artist.
Characters somewhat realistic but not ... yet developed.
It is sad that project was put on hiatus, but there is the source novel available.

**Obligatory I've read the webnovel**

In the past, executioners ran few in numbers, to circumvent this many places installed death row inmates and forced them to kill others to survive. This executioner work can be briefly translated to the ideas of "Cleaners" here.

At first, a seemingly pitiful position is soon turned on its head and used as a tool of romance. It shows the pros and cons of life in a rather objective way and it then goes on to flesh out the characters. Not through the art but through the dialogue.

This may all sound very profound and in fact even as I write this I ... find it silly as this 17 chapter manga clearly isn't that provocative in thought but it does teach you to cherish the things that you can.

In a pure review sense, disregarding everything else I've said earlier, this manga deserves a 7 or 8. The characters are directly taken from the web novel and are properly developed. The art is quite lacking unfortunately, at times it feels like characters are dead based on their looks while their character may feel something else and perhaps thats a creative path they took but it feels a little too off for me. Obviously art doesn't matter nearly as much as the other categories in a manga like this and that should be taken into account.

Lastly, the story is pretty damn good in my eyes. No blatant and clear plotholes and most of it is justified by the already pre-determined and fleshed out characters. Sure, some things come about and some story elements feel a bit vague or untouched, such as the classmate to Azure.

All in all I recommend it, it's a good read though unfinished and most likely never going to be finished (last chapter was a year and some ago)

It ends only a chapter or two after the final one so if you do want to view the story in its entirety reading the last couple parts of the web novel is really the only way to go.

Azure and Claude tells the story of a guy who can can control other people and make them commit suicide. Killing is a like a hobby to him, until he finds this suicidal woman. Due to her wish to die, it does not appeal to him to kill her. The story is a bit cliche, but flows smoothly.

The art in this manga is poor. It lacks a of details and you can not see much emotion in the characters. It is almost as if they are dead most of the time.

Overall it is fun to read. Enjoyment 7/10. Overall 6/10.
