Yuria 100 Shiki is a hilarious Mature, Ecchi, Romantic, Comedy with an outrageous Sci-fi plot about some professor creating a humanoid love doll named Yuria. Well she managed to escape and somehow ended up in the care of a University student (Kubo Shunsuke). From there the story progresses nicely, with each chapter basically having its own mini story and its own perverted theme. Sure there are some nice developments here and there but it is pretty obvious that the repetitive story isn’t its strong point.

The characters, even with so few of them, are very enjoyable to read. Yuria the love doll is just as horny ... as… well words cannot describe, which makes all the perverted occurrences happen so frequently and so hysterically. Shunsuke is the guy on the receiving end and it is quite amazing how he can remain obstinate through Yuria’s X-Rated advances, but any healthy guy reading this will be wondering “why?” There are a few others but they only conveniently appear when needed.

I must say that the artwork is pretty impressive for this kind of manga, with a lot of detail put into the characters (mostly in the ecchi moments). The panels are arranged neatly and the environments are also nicely drawn, whenever the mangaka’s bothered to include it. However there are times when it looks weird, like when it shows the character's side view.

Overall Yuria 100 Shiki is as ecchi as a manga can get, which makes it borderline pornographic, but that doesn’t matter because it’s so damn funny. Those who have read My Balls can expect the same kind of ecchi experience in this manga. When reading this manga; be sure to throw any thoughts of logic and sensibility right out the window, because you won’t need them here.

Story: 8
The story started off as a dutch wife living with a man who resisted her in every attempt to do ecchi stuff, but later a lot of new characters and events turn up, and the story is literally brimming with comedy. Wrestling moves are seen every now and then, and some wrestling notes were noted in quite a lot of ... chapters after volume (?).

The story can be described as a "living with dutch wives" story plot, so expect to see lots of ecchi, slice-of-life moments with quirks thrown in. From chapter 4x (vol.6), there is a America-Japan rivalry parody in the form of dutch wives starting, and this just makes the series even funnier!

However, I found some features lacking, like Dr. Akiba, who appears and then disappears every few chapters, and always loses the Yuria Type dutch wives he creates. A little strange here..

Art:6
Art is considerably weak, given its stellar comedy grades. There were quite a lot of panels where I didn't get what they were doing, and at some critical points, not sure if "the deed was done". Expressions were often drawn with little details, and emotions not very clear with just reference to art.

O yea, and there are a lot of similarities between the art in quite a few characters in this series, especially in the faces of the female characters.

There are quite a few good guys in this series, which is refreshing. The reactions they have towards the dutch wives' actions differ quite a lot from each other, which is interesting as well.

Personality-wise, I dun dislike any of the main characters, but some of the main characters react quite strangely. For example, Maria, who keeps getting info that her bf is probably cheating, seems super tolerant, although her personality doesn't seem to be like that.

From volume 6 onwards, Lucy's appearance starts a Japan-American rivalry that spice things up further, and seems to show clearly some culture gaps regarding ecchi stuff (although some of Lucy's acts seem to liberal, even for USA).

The characters were stable in their personalities thruout the series and character development could be seen for some of them, but isn't a very prominent feature.

Puns. Hilarious misunderstandings. The ability to turn non-ecchi stuff into very ecchi topics. Exaggerated expressions. Some action comedy (like Shunsuke's wrestling). Some yellow jokes (Yuria and Lucy).

I'm absolutely awed at the brilliance of the comedy featured in this series. "The mangaka is a genius!"

This manga is absolute whack. I think what it does best is the comedy. There are a lot of ecchi comedy manga out there but this was one of the best I've read. The jokes and situations here are actually funny and keep you interested. Seriously, rarely have I laughed out loud when reading comedy manga. There isn't really much of a story as far as the synopsis goes, that's exactly what you're going to get. There is of course some progression in the characters' relationships that feels just about right.

The characters here are actually well done for an ecchi comedy manga. Shunsuke, our MC, ... is as normal as an MC can get but he doesn't have some unlikable trait that you might despise unlike most MCs in nowadays in these types of manga. He's also good at wrestling! I really like the dynamic between him and Yuria. He obviously really cares for her but can't approach her because of, well reasons you'll have to read to find out. Yuria is the star of the show here. She tries her hardest everyday to approach Shunsuke and get him to make love to her. Well, she is a love doll. Their hilarious shenanigans are what I enjoyed the most while reading. Alongside these two are other love dolls and their respective partners who also frequently end up in absurd situations. All of which are fun to read!

One thing you must know is that each situation either of the cast ends up in adhere to some specific fetishes (mostly ecchi ones of course) commonly known in the anime community. Some might not be to your taste, as I too had a few chapters which didn't really appeal to me. Rest assured, there will most probably be a situation that can satiate your fantasies. The variety is refreshing and over-the-top in a good way. The jokes or so on point!!!

However, as with a lot of older manga, the ending did feel rushed. There was almost no feel of closure at all. The final few chapters felt like the middle of an arc more than an outro. The author tried I suppose. I'm the ultimate critic when it comes to bad endings but I've seen worse manga endings that have really pissed me off. The rest of the manga makes up for it but for some people it might feel out of place.

I'm the worst person to ask about art because I almost never pick up manga based on its art. I will say the art is not outstanding though. Still, I got a lot of enjoyment from reading this! This manga seriously needs more love. Yuria is definitely best love doll.
