Blatantly obvious connection between the 2 works. Same mangaka. Ecchi, loli, comedy and slice of life with a group of related ppl. Doujin work: between different doujin artists/ readers. Mangaka-san: between assistants/ other mangakas

Both of these serialisations revolve around the comic and ecchi mishaps of a lone male protagonist amongst a group of females.

Despite featuring different narrative and art styles, both titles are comedic reads involving artists and their inspirations.

Similar mangaka/writer who would do anything for their beloved works, even forcing their assistant/editor to help her in awkward, delicious ways.

Same premise. Ero-mangaka and his assistants. 4 chapters into Hanimero and I can already sense a harem about to start. They're really similar, they both even had the assistant flashing their panties to the MC. Both are really funny. The artwork in Hanimero is a little different than most mangas but if you like one you'll like the other.

Both are focused on producing ln/manga with an assistant. While 'mangaka-san' is more focused on the conditions of a professionel mangaka and his connections with his staff, 'eromanga' involves more of personal relationship between brother and sister and is less concerned about the working environment. Both feel similar in their lighthearted approach. In both publishing difficulties and finding personal motivation for their jobs are taking up some story arcs. If you liked 'eromanga-sensei' for its relaxed approach on producing ln and manga and also liked the cast of characters you might like 'mangaka-san'.

Really the only thing these two have in common is I find them screamingly hilarious. Excel Saga is my favorite manga but Hiroyuki's stuff the next best in my opinion. They both do tend to move at breakneck pace and neither are particularly sympathetic to their protagonists.

Ecchi situations between mangakas and their assistants. Do note however that Assistant Denki Keika has mature yuri content.
