4-koma, nice and simple slice of life revolving around a cute and clumsy college girl who works part time at a Buddha Cafe (the workers are monks of different sects).
each sect (of Buddhism) has a different ideas and the manga does a good job explaining it along with its practises.
Sprinkles of heartwarming parts, but the comedy is more of a weak "heh" than an "laugh out loud" to me.
While, of course, refreshing, you can easily binge read this series.
Story-5
As to many slice of life manga, there isn't really a true plot. Every chapter is a nice story in their life

Character-7
Ruri- cute, college girl who is hecka clumsy, has had 100+ previous jobs. A positive female MC who's only friends are the workers at the cafe.
Kou- Manager of the cage who is a so-called "Buddha nerd". He is likely the most recognizable type of Buddhist that a general person would be familiar with. Basic stoic/tall male character that has a hard time smiling. Part of the RINZAI sect, which one the sects in zen buddhism
Kai- hes the treasurer? accountant? likes to scam people and likes money. in the SHINGON sect, a big school of buddhism in Japan that started in the 8th century (?).
Ren- Hes a flamboyant and easy going (que sera sera) chef, really all you need to know. In the JODO SHIN (Pure land buddhism sect)
Overall-7
The manga isn't like hardcore about Buddhism, it just throws in some teachings to give you a basic sense.
