Both are written by Aya Shouoto, but SLH is her earlier work. They both have supernatural undertones and quirky guys.

Both mangas deal with a girl surrounded at school by beautiful boys she can't get rid of. Though the plots are different the characters and humor are very similar.

Pretear is one of my all time favorite manga series, and I simply could not stop noticing the similarities while I was reading Barajou no Kiss. In both, a girl who doesn't quite fit in suddenly finds herself surrounded by a group of (rather attractive looking) knights. Neither are your typical mahou shoujo because they both go beyond simply fighting evil. Both heroines are suddenly involved with the knights without quite knowing the whole story. Both sets of knights hide parts of the past and their history from her, and things are a lot more complicated than they appear. If you're a fan of one,  read more

They both have great plots, good looking guys ;) (bit of a male harem in both) and both seem to find themselves in interesting relationship situations (bit of a spoiler, so that's all I can say =]) Hmm... The female protagonists are also pretty spunky, but not overly aggressive. They're smart, savvy and independent. They somehow make the best of what happens, and can stand on their own two feet. A really lovely plot line in both. =]

The leading ladies have powers that could influence the world, so their bishie knights have to protect them from people who wish them ill. In Heart no Diamond the knights should not fall in love with their princess, but in Barajou no Kiss the knights are free to love her. Enjoy the enticing knights!

The two stories are related in the way of a Princess being surrounded by Knights. While the main character in Barajou no Kiss has all her Nights close to the start of the story, The main character of The leftover Princess is slowly gathering her Knights. They are diffrent in the aspect that Barajou no kiss is set in modern time, and not a princess in a way that she lives in a castle. The leftover Princess Takes place in a time before technology, and lives in a castle and an actual kingdom.

While Barajou no Kiss is a reverse-harem it does have a few similarities. Both protagonist are given special positions (Anis becomes Rose Princess, Nanami is Land God) and both are 'masters' over men. Barajous no Kiss does deal with the supernatural, high school life, idols (Suzumura Idel vs. Shinjirou Kurama) who both have mysterious past and are fence sitters, and Anis also has an independent spirit yet also a goofy side. Other points: Anis and Nanami are both surrounded by gorgeous men whom are either in love, or have feelings, or serve them. However while Nanami singularly likes Tomoe, in Barajou we're given more drama since Anis  read more

Both are by the same author with very similar artwork. In Super Darling, the heroine meets four handsome guys who stay by her side for a purpose which is much like Barajou no Kiss! There's more fantasy/supernatural-ish stuff in Barajou no Kiss however but both are very good reads with same idea of four guys falling for one girl!

If you are interested in romance with reverse harems, these stories are just for you. The events that occur in both stories are very similar with surprise appearances of new characters. The heroines are from a special family and is required to have a bodyguard to protect them.

Both take place in a school, both have a female lead. Barajou no Kiss the main character has to kiss cards for her knights to use their powers. In Kigurumi Guardians she has to kiss the giant stuffed animal to turn him into a man so he can use his powers to protect her.

Similar reverse harem, and the girl is able to draw out the power of the 'knights' in engage knight and the rose knights in barajou no kiss. also a similar love/hate relationship i believe both are manga i really enjoyed

Both have a situation where the female protagonist is put in a situation where she must suddenly choose her lover from a group of people she doesn't previously know against her early wishes.
reportRecommended by Tsukoyomi
the both have demons/people who they control that are (very sexy) boys. also, the female character's life source is drained to protect her/fuel the men's powers. both also very good ^^

both are girls that somehow have the ability to summon a guy to protect them, despite the fact that the plot it's not exactly the same both kinda give you the same magic, romance and fantasy feeling enjoying they everyday school life

the main girls used to have a normal life until one day when they unexpectedly gain powers and find out some cards that will change their lifes, now to protect the world for some kind of evil they both need to go and collect all the cards before it gets too late. Both stories have this sweet and doki doki atmosphere that involves cute guys, romance, touching moments, comedy and a lot of exciting situations ;)

Both deal about a girl with powers that is protected by her guardians. Both of the girls have to give a kiss to "release" the guardians. Both are very cute and with a lovely art.

Vampire Knight & Barajou no Kiss both have a sub-focus in knight-esque bishounen and reverse harem. Where Barajou no Kiss has little to do with "vampires" (though the title of vampire does appear in regards to one character), it does focus heavily on supernatural elements.
