Story 10/10
+ isekai, rivalry between two female protagonists, comedy, fantasy but quite realistically and down-to eart, fairies, magic, almost reverse harem if you include fluffy spirits (well the protagonist is a fluffy cat herself so that counts right?), light hearted, cute, well-thought through and it all fits pretty well together. Even though there are only 3 volumes out, you can already tell there's layering going on into the story and we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg for now. Lots of gray zones between the good-evil division as well which I'm looking forward to. The rhytm and pace of the progression is also on ... point, never wanting it to go faster nor slower.
- Only 3 volumes out, my impatient self can't handle this very well, though luckily no big cliffhangers so the authors does play it pretty clean and nicely for her readers.

+ Stunning really, the amount of attention all the animals get are quite the eye-opener as well.
- Slightly bigger eyes than otherwise, but nothing unbearable or even slightly annoying, besides, it adds to the comedy value so not really a negative point.

Character 10/10
+ The characters are well-thought through and I'm having the most hopes for the second female lead in this story, I'm already feeling gray zones between the 'good' and 'evil' side which I always really prefer for realistic purposes. Though it's mainly comedy, you can already feel some inner conflict brewing but I absolutely love that it glosses over it due to the funny bits so it doesn't leave a sour taste.
- Character development is still pretty shallow, though we're only 3 volumes in so can't really hold that accountable yet.

Enjoyment 10/10
+ It's a fun and beautiful piece and even though it has no cliffhangers or dirty tactics to keep you reading, I couldn't put it down. Satisfyingly addictive and well, my inner cat lady just couldn't ignore this cute white-tailed protagonist, could it?

Overall 10 as I'm greatly enjoying this manga so far. Initially it resembled the manga The Saint's Magic is Omnipotent a bit too cunningly which I was a bit wary of, but I'm glad I stuck through because whereas the Saint's manga is light-hearted too, it gives off a feeling of being more soft and kind, whereas Ruri's story here is more funny and cute (though as a character she's also soft and kind). So really, I shouldn't compare, as it wouldn't do any of both manga justice. I can only recommend this manga and hope for its swift publication - though not too swift so it'll rush the author; please take your time. And in the meantime, I'll probably read the light novel to satisfy my curiosity until it's turned into wonderful art by Aki.

The White Cat Seeking Revenge Lazes on the Dragon's Lap is an isekai story in which a college student named Ruri and her rival Asahi get transported to a fantasy world with four countries populated by humans, dragons, demi-humans, and fairies. It turns out Ruri is super loved by fairies, which in this world means she's also ultra-powerful, but also she's ultra-dangerous because of what the fairies might do if anyone ever crosses her.

On the one hand, the White Cat Seeking Revenge Lazes on the Dragon's Lap reads a bit like a tween girl's adorable fantasies. I mean, there's a scene where the dragon ... king (in his ikemen form of course) awkwardly requests to pet Ruri's head because he doesn't know she isn't a cat. On the other hand, it's got such an enthusiastic and unapologetic presentation, not to mention top notch art, that I find it pretty compelling anyways. It's so over the top, I find myself chuckling at it, but also I like it in an unironic way for generally being cute (if you like cats especially), and for it having some interesting world building ideas.

A isekai story that both shonen and shojo readers can enjoy.

Although the targeted demographic is shojo, it isn't so fruity that shonen readers would cringe with every page. And when it comes to shojo readers, lots of shonen/seinen isekai stories have plot/character interactions that turn those readers away from the genre. "Fukushuu wo Chikatta Shironeko wa Ryuuou no Hiza no Ue de Damin wo Musaboru" provides a medium when it comes to balancing out the typical over the top harem isekai stories we've come to expect from 2018 and the drama and emotional aspects that a shojo reader will expect. Making this a title ... that both shojo and shounen readers could have in common.
