Kyou Kara Zombie seems like a fleshed out one shot from the I am a Hero anthology. The quality of the stories in the anthology is high and Kyou Kara Zombie is a great continuation of the theme.  

Both Backstreet Girls and Kyou Kara Zombie takes an established genre (pop star idol/zombie) and just expands it until it’s turned into something else, and then makes a twisted dark comedy of it where you can’t decide if it’s funny or disturbing.  

While Shion of the Dead is funny, Kyou Kara Zombie fleshes (literally) out an interesting story and takes it way beyond the gag manga format of Shion of the dead. If you enjoy gags about decomposing bodies you should obviously read both.  

If you ever feel like zombies gets a bad rap in I am a Hero, and want to see it from the zombies point of view, the peaceful, then Kyou Kara Zombie is a great read. This will remind you of how zombies are people too, just dead people, who wants to eat your brain.
