Both manga revolve around a group of friends who find themselves in high-stakes situations, with someone dying or having died, and the story focuses on unraveling the mystery behind that death. In Kimi ga Shinu Natsu ni, the main characters are racing against time to prevent a tragic event, while Okuru Kotoba features a group of friends solving a mind-bending puzzle tied to a death that has already occurred. Both stories are filled with suspense, psychological tension, and complex relationships between teenagers. Do you like mystery manga involving time loops and rather clever protagonists on a mission to save someone? Then you'll have a lot to enjoy in both Kimi ga Shinu Natsu ni and Boku dake ga Inai Machi. I know I definitely did. These two titles have reasonable lengths at less than 50 chapters each, so binge read for best results; chances are you'll probably be on the edge of your seat anyway, so strap in for the ride.
