The Shogakukan Manga Award (小学館漫画賞, Shōgakukan Mangashō) is one of Japan's major manga awards, sponsored by Shogakukan Publishing. It has been awarded annually for serialized manga since 1955 and features candidates from a number of publishers. Each winning work will be honored with a bronze statuette and a prize of 1 million yen (about US$9,000). Special awards are also occasionally given out for outstanding work, lifetime achievement, and so forth. This is the work with the recipe that appeared in the manga work. Wouldn't it be fun to actually make and taste them? Series that involve cooking and good food. The way to a person's heart is through their stomach and what more to fill the stomach but with comforting food. Not necessarily centered on food but there are moments when food is really good and appreciated. Mangaby

Manga featuring chocolatiers, patissiers, and confectioners. Here is a list of manga for those who can't get enough of fairies, faeries, fair folk, or however else one describes the fae! Searched far and wide for these, but still possibly not a definite/complete list. Completed manga which have no completed English translation or scanlation. This should help a few other people out with the manga reading challenge 2024. I'm going to try to only include mangas where the food name is the main character or a supporting character that appears frequently. Uber-kawaii Y2K girly pop manga you HAVE to read if you wanna feel like the I T G I R L...or if you just really like silly kiddie shojo from the 2000s like me. =) though i prefer mean faeries, modernised cute fairies are also super enjoyable to read about!! here is a stack of manga that feature these fairies, helpful characters that seek to assist or bless humans. to qualify, they must feature at least one named fae character OR have significant bearing on the plot. |
