Age-gap shoujo series with a more laidback atmosphere, no over-the-top drama and (so far!) an avoidance of the worst of the worst clichés (that being the misunderstandings that ultimately cause the main couple to break up, only to later get back together- yaawwnnn...) are, in my humble opinion, hard to find. But fear not, for P to JK and Living no Matsunaga-san are those rare diamonds! Both series are especially HIGHLY recommended if you've gotten tired of the good old teacher-student relationships and need a little variation. ;)

Being a teenager and living with your crush while desperately trying to come to terms with your feelings for them is both scary and exciting- and this is the exact situation the protagonists, Fumi and Miko find themselves in. While Fumi moves in to live with Akatsuki as his housekeeper, Miko moves to her uncle's share house to live with five adults whom she's never met before, only to catch herself crushing on one of her housemates, Matsunaga. And so, everything and anything that happens in a person's everyday life gets turned into small, romantic moments, sure to pull you at your heartstrings.

MC and FL of both share a lot of similarities personality and appearance-wise. The only difference being the "school" element. The plot of both lay out in a similar manner too.

Living no Matsunaga-san is much more light hearted than Yumemiru Taiyou (not to say it isn't light hearted), but share similar troupes. Both are about a group of people of different ages living together and love developing into loves triangles and beyond. They are both about a high school girl falling for a working man and the difficulties that come with it. They both even have some conflicts about one of the FL's teachers.

Without spoiling anything. It's essentially the same story. - Two characters of different ages - Develop feelings for one another but, due to age group, decide to hold off until they're 'of age'. - Once they're both of age, their relationship formally begins.
