Manga: Aikagi-kun to Shiawase Gohan
both series are about sharing food and growing closer with a childhood friend. the FL usually cooks for the ML and they have regular meals together (breakfast and dinner, respectively), are slow burn romances, and the ML falls first! the narratives focus on the bonds made through cooking and there are pseudo-recipes/food facts throughout.

Manga: Skip to Loafer
- bubbly and inspiring heroine (who’s single-minded and tends to overlook romantic implications) (an absolute adorable ball of sunshine) - great amount of goofy things happening which gave me a good chuckle - there were small troubles in communication but given the context, they’re understandable. fortunately, it didn’t drag because the character in question often wants the best for others and it was very heartwarming to see - as for more serious topics, they’re tackled with the right amount of painful acknowledgement and insightful parting words or simply words of comfort - (i will warn however about the extensive research put into miso soup HAHAHA, i’m guilty of skipping  read more
