The story both focus on the relationship between the protagonist and her older brother's wife. The difference are: Ani no Yome to Kurashiteimasu: the protagonist's older brother has been passed away. / the protagonist doesn't sure about her feeling to her sister-in -law. Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo: the protagonist's older brother is still alive. / the protagonist know that she has been fall in love with her sister-in-law. 

Both this and Citrus have that same element of forbidden love– in the case of Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo it's a girl in love with her brother's wife. Reading both felt very natural and the character relationships were both well developed– there were elements of angst and small interactions that made them feel very organic (I should mention that Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo is veeeeery angsty). I can't argue that the other recommended manga are good yuri reads but reading Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo felt the most like reading Citrus (as an avid yuri reader I can attest to this). The artwork is also very nice so it won't be too jarring to read after experiencing the amazing art of Citrus. read more 

Both are based on the theme that the protagonist loves a person who already loves/is in relationship with someone else. In Tatoe Todokanu Ito da toshitemo: a girl loves her childhood friend who married her brother. In Kuzu no Honkai: a girl loves her childhood friend who became a teacher at the school she attends and fell in love with another teacher (same sex relationship also appears here). 

Both of these series seem to be really simple on the outside, but are a bit more complicated. (They also both have to deal with same-sex relationships) Tatoe Todokanu Ito da Toshitemo is a manga about a girl who fell in love with her newly-wed childhood friend, while Ao no Flag is about a love triangle between 3 high schoolers. Although these stories seem pretty simple, the authors decide to take these stories, and really show each individual character's perspective.
