Both of these mangas are about a football. The storyline is almost the same both main characters go to train the skills to get better at football and try to reach their dreams. I think that Fantasista is much better than Area no Kishi because he reaches his dream quicker.

This two are so similar in terms of the art and the level of gameplay depicted in both mangas. They're both football mangas and they involve the growth of the main characters in their respective series from kids playing football to their journey into the professional scene.

- Both of the MCs worked hard to gain their skills in the sport they love. - One is soccer and the other is Rugby. - Both of the MCs came from an island that led to them practicing and getting better alone. - They both enjoy playing with their "friends/ teammates" - Both of them are acknowledged as "great/prodigy/ genius" players - I loved that when they lost, they believed in each other and tried to do better Anyway a good read, I highly recommend it!

Both are sports anime ( Specifically Speaking Soccer ) Before the anime started, both the MC have not played in a football team.

Well, they're both wonderful soccer manga and the main characters are pretty similar, especially in their determination to reach their goal. Though one difference is that Teppei (Fantasista) already starts out as a very good, talented if unexperienced player, whereas Sho (Whistle) has to prove himself and work hard before he's acknowledged as a skilled member of the team.

They are both about soccer however Fantasista is only about soccer and doesn't have the supernatural element. In both the MCs are the best at soccer. They kick butt.
