Good & cozy vibes reign! Combined with optimism.
If there are emotional moments (in some of them, not all), then they are balanced well enough with empathy not to be depressing.
Haven't read that many yet so this will surely be edited later on.

Sometimes it seems everyone wants to throw in the towel and leave the daily grind for a farm or just a countryside life- these characters actually do it.

With gratitude to calucifer for the suggestion of Bokura ga Koi wo Shita no wa.

Manga, particularly SOL, that are especially light on the surface but between every little gesture of the characters and the art, a certain weight is felt in the heart. Simple, good, unpretentious story-telling at its best. It is fine proof that one does not need "darkness" to make a story intensely interesting and deep.

Hand-picked selection of some of my favorite age-gap romance manga.

Note that some of them are not 100% romance-oriented (leaning more on other genres instead -action, mystery, etc), but there's enough presence of romantic development from start to finish.

Slice-of-life backed up with pleasing art and decent plot.

Romance between a guy and a gal with an age gap, with no drama, angst, misunderstandings, lack of communication, etc. (as much as possible) Mostly slice-of-life, comedy and often gourmet.

Seinen manga that can be enjoyed by underage (-18) readers.
Most of them are Comedy/Sports/SOL based.

Stories that make u feel good after, nothing too emotinal or dense. Mostly romcoms

Manga that I feel like deserve more love and discussion.

Here is a list of mangas that should appeal to old farts like me, who are too old to find fun in shonen characters getting stronger, cliché fantasy or in vanilla school romance tropes.
The main drive is that the manga should have some personality, with decent and properly written characters, laid-back humor, an interesting context and / or a subtle story. Good art and page layout are also appreciated. No violence porn or excessive fan service either, I like authors to focus on something else than these simple devices, although I'm not against them at very small doses when they serve the story. The manga may have been adapted in anime or not, I only address the mangas here.
There are probably some spoilers in my comments so skip them if you're worried about that.

Grown women in romantic/sexual (or very sus) relationships with underage boys. This stack prioritize non-hentai titles (I'm up to some spicy tho), not because I dislike them but because they're easier to find.


⚠️ Includes shotacon, legal lolis, and incest. Also, the age gap is (unfortunately) not that great in some of them (when it comes to late teen/young adult pairs) but the characters carry out different life stage responsibilities.
