Maid Bride is an anthology of H-stories and for a Hentai manga this is nothing new; however there’s one story that stands out and it’s the first one amongst the collection (the first 5 chapters).
Take an average guy who’s living alone (Ayutarou) and a cute girl who happens to need a place to stay (Akira) and you have the typical setting found in 30% of all h-manga. Well Akira barges into the young man’s life requesting to be a “home stay maid” of sorts, but what use is a maid who cannot handle the day-to-day duties of maid such as: cooking & cleaning? Doesn’t take
...
a genius to figure that out… So guys dim the lights and grab a box of tissues to enjoy this typical romp fest.
But what’s unique about this manga… is it the characters? Unfortunately not because we have a guy who’s average in every sense of the word and a girl who conforms to the “tight-lipped but opened hipped” persona.
Well is it the artwork? Same as before the answer is no. I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with the artwork, in fact it’s really good and very detailed during the H scenes. It’s just that this mangaka’s style doesn’t stand out in anyway like: Fuuga, Gunma Kisaragi and Tony Taka.
So in the end Maid Bride serves its purpose for being a quick way to let of some steam and nothing else. The main story is okay but the one-shots that follow (well technically two-shots) are all just hit or miss.
