Shock is a key element of this genre. Movies such as the SAW series are famous for the difficult-to-watch torture sequences, but what a bout the manga? This list is compiled of some of the most gory manga I have seen that aren't pornographic.  Pretty much the same plot, spun in a slightly different direction each time. Some random bloodthirsty creatures show up and kill a lot of people, usually on an apocalyptic scale.   The best part about this? It's over. Or at least, it's over for me. Literally painful to watch. This experience genuinely felt like torture whilst watching it. Something I had to force myself to go through and feels draining through almost the whole series. Lacks literally all aspects of development and story-telling and ironically next to no parts that were entertaining at all. Not even so bad it's funny.
