The Kodansha Manga Award (講談社漫画賞, Kōdansha Manga Shō) is an annual award for serialized manga published in the previous year, the event is sponsored by the publisher Kodansha.

Romance with several couples that have links to eachother and overlap! Many of these have the format of seperating each couple into their own chapters, and alternating between couples—but the characters will still crop up in the other couples stories!

This list will always be in alphabetical order.

I don't expect everyone to agree with my choices and that is okay. If everyone agreed with me that would be boring.

If the ratings on my profile tell you nothing else it should tell you this; I am very a harsh critic. My average for animé and manga are both in the 5's and, considering how many titles I've completed, will likely always be there. If I rate something a 6 or higher I really do think it's worthwhile. So everything in this stack is something that I consider to have gone above and beyond my expectations and absolutely worth a try.

This stack contains all of the manga that I have completed and given a rating of 8.5 or higher. This is the top 9-11% of my completed manga list (hence the stack name). This list will rarely change, though there are currently 5 titles that may end up here when they finish, so I guess I'll list them here as "honorable mentions". Those manga are; Gabriel DropOut (8.5), Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? (8.5), Machikado Mazoku (9), Tonikaku Kawaii (9.5) and Yotsuba&! (8.5).

KonoSugoi is an annual magazine aimed at finding out which is the best manga with content published in the year of the survey. The choice is made by a panel of judges from the manga and publishing industry, and often reflects works with a lot of potential for anime adaptation.

Due to the variety of opinions and the extensive amount of works, the list is divided between men and women. In this stack we will cover the choices of the female audience, since the origin of the awards.

Here are all the josei manga I think one should read in order to cover all bases. I organized this list by general theme, with publishing series at the bottom.

We start off with the classic slice of life and coming of age stories, then to a couple of autobiographical manga, then to the dark and realistic drama stories, then to action and horror stories, then to mystery stories, then to the rom-coms, then to the more light-hearted slice of life stories, and lastly to the important ongoing series.

Some of these are mostly happy save for that one story or scene which made me well up. All manga in this stack are manga that I have finished and given a rating of 6 or above. This stack will be updated as I find new titles. Make sure you have lots of tissues.
