I first approached Desert Punk watching its animated version, but it didn't take long before I passed to the original work the latter was inspired by. There are some traits this story possess that won me over without me realizing it, starting off with the plot itself. I think the aspect that stands out the most and which lays at the core of the opera is the inherent greed and selfishness of human beings, as well as their stupidity. This is one of the few manga that really left a lasting imprint on me. The journey Kanta takes with Kosuna is not only riveting, but fun, grand, and ultimately very human. Kanta is one of those mc's who are the type to use and abuse literally anything and everyone, but Kanta lives in fucking post-apocalyptica so not only does it feel more human and not just douchy, and is sent right back in his stupid gruby little fuckin face sometimes.
