So as long as it isn't in a Pro boxing match Joe has no problem punching people in the face? o.O

Little by little, Joe's getting used to punching the temple.

That uppercut near the end was awesome, Joe is getting back to his old, stronger self. The fixed matches trick was cheap as hell though. I'm glad Joe didn't went with the idea.

It's amazing to see Joe's character development since the prison, if he was still like back then he would probably have no problem with doing fixed matches.

Joe destroyed those guys.
Inaba seems to be a good sparring partner.

The bulbs went off in the rain, countryside scenes, darkness everywhere, only a flame and rain sound. That scene is beauty.
This countryside arc is so nice, I got all the things I like, rural things, like shaved ice, watermelon, matsuri dance, pinwheel, "Water" sign hanged on pole, hanafuda, majong....

Glad Joe didn't agree with the fixed match, solid episode.

But somehow I'm not feeling this arc as much as the previous ones

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

"You're not a kid anymore" -- Inaba to Joe. He's so right.

Uhhh why does Inaba remind that Joe’s not a kid anymore? 😐

Inaba is both a charismatic and mature person. It doesn't seem like he'll be in the show for long but I'm really impressed with his character.

Ah, so all their fights aren't even real, how disappointing. Joe had some fun beating the crap out of those guys, and then fighting the daddy of the group.

This is good practice for hitting the face again. First people who don't want a real fight, so Joe's forced to pull his punches. And then one opponent with whom he can go all out, because firstly Inaba is urging him to have a proper fight, giving proper encouragement, and secondly because Inaba is in featherweight class - it probably feels a bit safer to use more strength when going against a heavier opponent.

He is getting use to punching the temple. But he can always punch the head but they have no force in it. If it was glove less then it would hurt but of course he isn't going to start bear knuckle fighting as those boxer retire kick from injuries.
