| The guys just doesn't like synchro monsters, it seems. They symbolize the growth of Neo Domino City, but he thinks they're unnecessary. Reminds me of people that don't like anything past gx cause of the new summoning types cause they're unnecessary o-o Speed World 2 has some changed effects. I like it since it changes the riding duels a bit (like a patch lol). Still kind of an intro episode to the new threat. |

| This episode is where 5D's began to go downhill imo. Yusei winning being the main moment of absurdity; why the hell did they make him win when it would've made so much more sense for him to lose, thereby hyping up Ghost and the 3 Yliaster members as threats? The fact that Yusei beat a "Synchro Killer" with a Synchro Monster completely undermined the threat level that the new villains were supposed to pose. Also, Yusei losing could've been used as a learning opportunity so that he could find a way to beat Ghost in a rematch using different tactics or something. I thought it was weird that Ghost had Reload in his hand when according to Speed World 2's effect, using non-Speed Spell Spells comes with a cost of 2000 LP. Literally nobody uses non-Speed Spell Spells in Riding Duels for that reason. |
| Hm, Meklord Emperor Wisel is an interesting gimmick. Even if Ghost "captured" Stardust Dragon, it still isn't on his side of the field. Clearly all the pieces of Wisel are taking up the five monster slots. So, Yusei stealing back Stardust Dragon is a level of ignoring the rules and cheating on par with the original series. And then Ghost died. |

And then Ghost died. Wisel capturing Stardust Dragon was supposed to treat Stardust as an Equip Spell card, so it technically would've been in the Spell/Trap zone not in a Monster zone. |
| The update to speed world is one of the best changes ever, imo. It adds so much depth to the game. The counters now have strategic usage other than "pile them up so you aren't locked out of spells". Having low LP is now a big deal. It even goes so well with the special format in the upcoming tournament. |
