Great episode. Had a lot of characters, was dynamic but never felt all-over-the-place. Hope to see more like this.

this was filler but the best kind of filler. each little sub plot was very entertaining. kiel seemed to have birthed that baby without any effort lol, he really is the man. wish sheyenne had a bigger part in this than being hit on by lolis. his reaction was priceless though
I couldn't help but think of baccano throughout the episode, from the criminals, the fact that sheyenne was an older man in a kid's body, the baseless violence taken upon the conductors. and all the characters actions intertwining with each other. I'm sure the creators of the baccano series gained some inspiration from this, considering the light novels stories compared to the anime's complete emphasis on the train.

Mamoru Kanbe worked on both wild arms and baccano, as an episode director as well as storyboard in each series. this industry is so much smaller than I thought haha

I've never seen so many events, stories and happenings shoved into just one train. You blink and an entirely new development materialises.

Huh... felt very disorganized. The episode is mostly about the train conductor getting the train thru on time at the risk of everyone on board. Having all the different little side plots could have been neat, but I don't think it really worked here. It was like the Hey Arnold! episode on the subway but less focused and humanizing. For example, the scene with the baby birth is undercut by Isaac's joke, and the whole thing with the lady wanting to kill herself over the guy cheating felt really bizarre. I wasn't into this one.

@_zoop_ That totally makes sense, it felt very much like Baccano in execution. I loved it though.
