Taisei Corporation, a Japanese engineering and construction company, posted a new anime advertisement on its YouTube channel on Sunday. The 30-second advertisement was produced by CoMix Wave and directed by Shinkai Makoto. It showcases the construction of the Sri Lanka's expressway network, of which Taisei is one of the major contractors. The island nation in the Indian Ocean emerged from a 26-year civil war in 2009 and has become one of the world's fastest growing economies.

Shinkai previously created an anime advertisement for Taisei's involvement in the construction of the Bosphorus Strait Tunnel. CoMix Wave also previously produced an advertisement by director Tazawa Ushio for the construction of New Doha International Airport.

Going by the pace of things, even construction projects nowadays can have anime for ads....I shudder to think of the terrific possibilities if they do the same for the Tokyo Olympics in the future.

In my opinion the only question is "how much?". I want my cute girls doing cute Olympic things.

Given most of the new infrastructure in Sri Lanka is being built with Chinese funds and participation it is something that a Japanese company got the highway project. Now I wonder how much the Japanese government is involved in this. Perhaps it comes with interest-free loan on very favorable terms.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.
