I kind of wanted Vegeta gone since the beginning of the arc but now I feel bad for him. At least Trunks got a hug before he died.

Final Explosion is such a badass move, a fitting move for such a badass like Vegeta. Too bad it's probably all in vain, just like what happened with Goku and Cell.

I wonder if Madoshi Babidi is actually dead. Definitely seems that way but with this series you can never be sure... And I think they will just bring Vegeta back to life with Polunga later or smth

If the series ended right here I'd consider it a masterpiece.

The development with Vegeta in the buu saga is mind boggling. The scene where he sacrifices him self for his loved ones. For once in his life, he thinks about others, then him self and this is even forshadowed when he was saying the "strongest survive and the weak perish" during when babito was controlling him. Goku thought he was just being his own selfish self. But he had a plan all along. I never really took what it takes to appreciate this scene, but this is absolutely one of the single greatest scenes in shonen history.

Its like he finally admits that he is on the other side of the spectrum for once. He is weak and he will do what he can to save humanity. It was the most powerful intense and selfless thing he's ever done and an extraordinary development with his character in dbz.

I didn't really pick up on this significance of this scene when I watch dbz back in the day when I was only 10 years old. But now I fully understand it

This is honestly on par with one piece, there is a similar scene, no doubt oda was inspired by this moment.

Amazing!

A truly beautiful moment, and people say there's no emotion in this series.

I'd say Vegeta has ascended to a new level... fathership and a bit of friendship... well done, Vegeta.

One of the best episodes of DBZ if you ask me (including Future Trunks appeareance and Gohan outburst in the Cell saga). Really enjoyed this one, very emotional and just great. I also felt a bit of a western movie feeling (also in 238), for example when he was talking to Piccolo (desperation). It was interesting when Vegeta was screaming for Bulma, Trunks and Kakarott. So it means he had huge respect for Goku and he was super important to him. Directly after wife and son.

Also the narrator talk at the end was amazing.

Couldnt remember Piccolo took Babidi in half, surprised about that but not sure if he is dead now.

So this is why Vegeta is loved by so many?

Well he did one good thing here I grant him that....but like Picollo said, it doesn't outweigh all the bastard level shit you've done throughout the series.

I mean all the people you just killed at the tournament a few episodes ago as a shining example.

Still don't like ya, but you did a good thing here.

This is the kind of feeling I like from anime! Redemption and sorrow filled Vegeta's mind while he performed the ultimate sacrifice. What an amazing episode.

For the first time, Vegeta showed empathy and love to someone else. He really changed. He'll be most probably revived with the dragon balls later on. I wonder who's going to defeat Buu?

I didn't remember how incredible Vegeta's development is in this DBZ saga, it even gave me a lump in my throat almost throughout the chapter.

I think this chapter became my favorite of all of DB, although who knows...

This episode was TOP TIER. Moving. Powerful.

This is DBZ at it's best, and I haven't felt so moved since Goku said farewell and left with Cell to die.

Truly - the way this character has evolved AND how much he realizes what ACTUALLY matters right at the end... it was great.
