Well ok, Japanese humour is just too Japanese for me to understand it.
For the time being i'll just keep hoping i'll understand it and that anime one day.

The "seikan" gag was kinda clever. Kiiiiiiiiinda. Other than that, I'm afraid the show does nothing for me. Dropped.

It's been 2 eps and I don't think I've laughed :/

I won't drop, I'm hoping it will get funny, but 2 mins really isn't enough time to crack a joke >.>

A lot of Japanese humor is contrived in a matter of seconds. They use a lot of one-liners and it's hard to get across to an American audience.

Even with subtitles, some Japanese jokes simply will never pass over to an American audience. Watching things raw, in their original language, is how most comedy anime works. I wouldn't blame anyone for dropping it, but it is fairly funny.

I suppose it's a matter of where you live or grew up in your surroundings, that you derive one's sense of humour from. It may be funny to some, while not very much to others. I personally loved this and hope someone picks up the translation of the manga.
