| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow, this was a pretty funny episode. It started a little slow, but we had a funny (for the first time) Goddom and Sodorrah, A hilarious Animal Squad (evolution of P-chan), and the song at the end was brilliant. Which also makes me point out. The music for this show is really good. It's catchy, a little campy with a cool European (spain and italy) vibe about it. I love it. |
| I just wanted to nerd up and point out that the end song was a parody of two themes from Space Sheriff Shaider : the main theme: (Annie's theme) and the first little bit (replayed for the credits)was the evil Fuuma's song (TAKE CARE, the Fuuma are inherently evil and listening to this might cause you to not do your homework!) The ceiling monster (as well as other themes of the show) may in fact be largely inspired by a particularly nightmarish episode of Shaider (no. 43, "Our Fuuma") which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdiiawFgGR8&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdiiawFgGR8&rel=1 Since I can hardly pass up an opportunity to blather on about Shaider, I should also mention episodes 6 ("Attack of the Strange World's Cooking") and 10 ("House of Darkness") which features morally corrupting stuffed animals. |
