Anyone else looking forward to this? The manga is damn cool, i'm seriously looking forward to this, bit of a wait till it gets shown but im sure i can hold out till then.

If anyone hasnt already checked it out, go and grab a few volumes of the manga and indulge, its got action, adventure, drama, and a token loli....with cute lil angel wings ^^;

Not sure how much they can fit into a 2 ep OVA though, guess we will have to wait and see...

If anyone can supply more details in this topic it would be greatly appericated

I can't wait for this too.
But it was such a let down when I've found out it's just a 2 ep. OVA.
Wish they would've waited until the manga ends and made a full TV series...

Well it's better if they make it an OVA. If they decided to make a tv series I'm sure there would be a lot of censoring. I just hope they don't skip around so there is a chance of another OVA in the future.

I agree, also i'm hopeing they don't do an Elfen Lied, leaving anime open for a second serie or OVA and then never actually making it sucks considerably, i suppose they could run in the side stories too the OVA if they start running out of story (Hardcore Twins, maybe start out with just Dogs for an intro) but i think that with how much of the manga there is atm it would be possible to make this a decent OVA, and by May there should be alot more story too with a bit of luck.

..My jaw dropped when when I saw 'OVA' written in the manga. I mean, well, fuck. DOGS was a manga I wasn't expecting to see animated soon, but, darn yeah, now I'm pumped.

If anything, a 2 episode OVA should be enough to show the initial 6-chapter introduction of the manga.

As long as they keep it true to the source and make it badass, I'm all for it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, maybe even the "Hardcore Twins" chapter too. Hopefully, the OVA will lead to an eventual show somewhere down the line.

In a way I wish they waited for a bit longer, so it could have gone 12 episodes or something.

But whatever it's still awesome

Oficially, seams that will be 4 OVAs, in two DVDs. Each ep will have 30 minutes and will cover one main story of Dogs: Stray dogs howling in the dark (the prequel): Weppy Old Killer, Gun Smoker, Blade Maiden and Stray Dogs Hownling in the Dark. The first two will be released on May, 19, 2009 with volume 4 and the other two with the re- release of Dogs:SDHitD on July, 17.

While i was looking for the source of the info (wich i didn't find, btw) I read an alternative version: it would still be two DVDs, each with only one OVA, Weppy Old Killer and Gun Smoker.

The director will be Abe Tatsuya, with cooperation of Taniguchi Gorou (Code Gears and sCryed). David Production, created after an internal fight at Gonzo, will be the studio.

I'm really looking foward to it

I was so insanely pumped to hear that they would be coming out for an anime for this series, because although I honestly haven't read too much of the manga, and I haven't really read anything in awhile, I love the series already and seeing it animated would be awesome.

I'm a little bummed though that it's only 2 OVA episodes! Better than nothing though, I suppose.

This so needs to get an entire series. Not an OVA. But I'm seriously happy to know that it gets at least animated. Because it's really worth it.

I've never read the manga, but it sounds pretty badass. I just hope they don't intend to end the OVAs with a never ending cliffhanger. I get the feeling thats what they're gonna do. Damn, now I'm tempted to read the manga.

They haven't even finished it, yet they're already releasing an OVA. Well, it is rather exciting... but i have a feeling that a 2 episode OVA will prove to be a disappointment. =\

I agree, but I'm still incredibly excited to see this. Like everyone else said, this manga is so awesome so it would be really cool if this OVA lives up to the style of the manga.

Yeah, really cool!

...except why the heck it says "shounen" (the manga was "seinen") -- don't tell me they are making it more suitable for kids? O_o And just 2 episodes is obviously not enough.

Yays anyway!)))

Never thought about that possibility. My guess is that won't happen, the OVAs are going to be released with the manga, meaning that only somebody who read it would buy. If it were an anime I would think twice before saying that.

Excellent! awesome manga should make for a good OVA (If they don't censor it), fingers crossed David Productions is a good studio, will watch Ristorante Paradiso to see if itis.
Would be nice if the OVA was the same as dogs and then have a series afterwards based on bullets and carnage (only if the OVA turns out decent)

Hmm, judging from the trailer, it seems like this will be the adaptation of the original Dogs that came out in 2001. Not complaining though, 2 episodes will surely be enough to cover all the chapters.

A lot of famous seiyuus are claimed to act in this series. The manga is fairly good and the best thing is it being an OVA. I do prefer the previous version of Dogs manga.
But the trailer is kinda boring.

True. The manga takes ages to come out... Ah well.

And yay, it's coming out soon! The subs might take awhile (dunno? did even any subbers pick this up?), I'll just watch the raws.
