Why, WHY didn't she ask the obvious question to the right person about that little girl and that cat? Does she have NO curiosity at all?

So that little girl was a spirit brought for by that cat or what's up with that? Pretty interesting episode though.

Most likely both, the girl and the cat, were spirits. But why only Yume was able to see them? And who they were? It doesn't seem likely we will get answers to those questions.

This show is so subversive for me. I initially dismissed it as a self insert reverse harem which lazily used authority as its villains.

Now, I think this show has a great, lovable cast, which at first appear bland because most people do and don't wear everything about them on their sleeves. The cast has depth, it's just hidden behind the way they act and the way we learn about them in a lot of cases is a great natural process of storytelling which we can decide to pick up on or not.

Authority on the other hand, could still be bad, but Master Chief for example was introduced as a dark scary villain and has only been compassionate, nice and understanding thus far. The Councilor also started as an antagonist, and as the anime has gone on, he has now been established sole as as man who is doing his job, but can still care about others including his family.

And now we have a character arc with Yume, finally after all the experiences she's gone through she both is completely happy with her powers and no longer has a hint of regret coming all the way here, and she is way closer with the cast and will willingly dance with Kera, something she avoided outright in episode 1(iirc).

P.S. The way Oyamada is drawn to express his constant melancholy is also a real treat, or maybe I'm imagining it, but as soon as I got the suspicion on what a tragic character Oyamada is I can't help but see it.
