Everyone seems to be saying that, whether they're betting this is all just trolling or hoping the show will be as dark and depressing as Madoka.

Kind of depressing really, that so many people want Shaft to do the exact same thing they did last year. It would kinda cheapen both shows.

I'm gonna be optimistic on this one, and if it does pull the cheesy shock value thing like Madoka did, it's going in the dropped pile.

Looking at this video though, I'm definitely under the impression this is going to be an odd series. There's clearly a ghost girl sitting in the background at the 17-22 second mark.

I doubt this is going to go all dark and brutal, they can only get away with that once, I think it'll be pretty light-hearted, typically quirky as to be expect of Shaft, but probably more of a parody too. If anything, I think they'll do the opposite (or the same?) as Madoka and try and give off a facade, but one that makes us think it'll be like Madoka when it's not going to be.

Or who knows, it might just be a straight up Mahou Shoujo afterall - that'd be the ultimate troll. Only Shaft would make us have to think outside the box this much...

I agree. Like back there, when they were saying that Madoka was going to be a fluffy mahou-shoujo, but it was the opposite.

Yeah I doubt it's going to be a "deep" anime this time. Seems like a comedy.

This is going to be dark, and anyone who watches that trailer and believes it will be happy isn't pausing the trailer at the correct frames. 2 posts above me, and the ghost noted in the OP are good catches, but also add the villain at 1:08 in the 3 minute trailer. (This is the same character seen at 0:14 in the OP trailer) Note that the villain is shown in only 3-4 frames and stopping at the wrong tenth of a second at 1:08 may cause you to miss it. I'm not expecting Madoka dark, the art just doesn't feel like it could go that direction, but I'm expecting Nanoha at least

Judging from the song pv. I think I know who will be their seiyuu. Not really sure if the singer of it will be the one voicing the characters.
