What a bloody mess haha. Loved that toilet scene at the end.

How could I miss it? It was plain as a nose on a face, but there are so many thing happening that I didn't figure it out earlier.

Nice totally fitting end for Zera,

Worst manga I have ever read. Seriously... a toilet? A robot? Felliato?

"Watch it for the guro, they said... the yaoi is not part of the story, they said..."

Apocalypse Zero is a masterpiece compared to this mess of fujoshi's wet dreams.

This manga definitely isn't for everyone.
But, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
The art was fantastic, and it stayed interesting.

Kind of disappointed with this last chapter. Perforating two sides of a skull with a slingshot, seriously?! Don't even get my started on Zera's death.
It looks like the author was going for shock value, while completely ignoring physics...

Overall, an enjoyable read

I hope I don't sound like some edgy teenager but honestly think this manga was great.

Just finished rereading after reading bokura no hikari club (the prequel)… all the deaths and interactions have so much more meaning when you know how things used to be! AKA before "zera" *shudder*

Pffft I knew it was him all along. Ever since he got to the burning orchard first, I knew it was him XD

Anyway, nice comic. My only complaints are: not enough gore, and not enough pr0nz.

More pr0nz would've been nice haha.

This was pretty cool, 7/10 from me. Headed off to read the prequel, and then watch the stage play (which is the reason why I've read this haha...)

I read this up to chapter 6, when the others still weren't released, i'm quite glad i read, it's a weight off my chest, i rrmembrred most of it troughout 3-4 years.

Also i surprisingly enjoyed it, given how i can't stand rape, yaoi and gore(reason why i dropped battle royale and a couple others), so whatever hooked me up, was definitely something next level, or i would have never though about going back to read it all.

A true descent into madness. Can't help but feel it would have worked better had the characters been more fleshed out.

I realize this is based off a play and that alleviates some of my confusion. It feels like I'm back in school reading a greek tragedy, trying to find some meaning or commentary under all that ridiculousness. Or like, vibes similar to watching Rocky Horror, where it's so unbelievable that you don't take it seriously.

Killed by a toilet, surrounded by roses in bloody water, at the hands of your most loyal servant...
Et tu, Brute.

Reading this after reading the prequel is probably the best move. It fleshes out the characters more and also gives more backstory.

Anyway, nothing shocking about this manga if you've read the prequel. It's a pretty consistent continuation and I enjoyed it, cliche as some parts of it are.

I didn’t think the author could’ve stooped lower than chapter 7, but I was awfully wrong. In his wicked mind, he even ends attempting to soften Hitler’s persona, Zera. The only way the author found to get his story out of the dreary and forgettable was through gore scenes with no meaning.

Reminds me of “sailor who fell from grace with the sea” only way more fucked up.
R.I.P Yukio Mishima you would’ve loved this.

i found the ending to be quite poetic,
you don't really see this type of series anymore nowdays, everything is isekai and shit.

even the horror genre doesn't really do many of these short aseop like stories etc.

not really since unlike his book,
this is explicitly an allegory against fascism, this entire club is quite literally a representation of a fascist social structure, even the head being compared to hitler, and the fact that he framed the original founders of the club and executed them mirrors what hitler did with the original nsdap members and people like strasser and rolm who were the ones to invite him to the party in the first place.

and of course mishima was a fascist so this entire series is basically shitting on him lmao.

its like the republicans who watch "the boys" not realizing its making fun of them.

of course, for context, i'm not a even leftist nor communist and I hate the democratic party far more than republicans, but this comment really makes you sound like one of the maga guys with lack of media literacy
