| Well, it was mentioned earlier that youkai lives resembles lives of demons whose blood run in their veins but I would lie if I said that it haven't surprised me. Deep down I was feeling that it won't be romantic comedy all the time but that was... little too much. |
| Now, the scene in the last episode of the anime is even more poignant.The time capsule, the letters that they meant to write to their reincarnations...Will those ever make it to their destination? What about all the letters that Ririchiyo Sama wrote to Miketsukami Kun? For some reason, even when I saw the pages with the letters in the box...I had to do a double take when the final scene came. coming off the high of the anime and quickly gobbling up all the chapters until now, I was still in a fluffy cloud. I expected drama but tragedy? Even with all the warning signs, I was still blind-sided. If I hadn't accidentally read about what was going to happen on wiki while in the middle of the chapter just because I got curious about what kind of demon Ririchiyo spawns from, this would have been a major WTF moment, not as bad as when I found out who "Madera" was but still. While we can't say that Cocoa didn't dole out plenty of hints, usually there is a bit more angst in these things as we approach a tragedy, allowing us to end on a bittersweet note. Maybe I'm just too tired after marathon reading but right now, I merely feel hollow. I'll keep reading but like the old bartender/cook said, without meeting all the same people and having the same experiences, are these really the same characters anymore? |

| Back in 2012, I was reading this manga and when I read this chapter and I was so confused. I mean, wtf, how do you just kill everyone? That's f*cked up. Anyways, It's really strange how quicly they become their reincarnation. 4 years after all of this and I still don't like this plot twist, lol. |
