dayum, wouldn't mind seeing an epic anime about nobunaga's conquests based on that...

These are the chapters I really love in Kurosawa. I've fallen off from loving Kurosawa ever since the "who dunn it" murder mystery, don't get me wrong I liked it, but this is getting back to what I love.

I find it awesome how Kurosawa can take so much inspiration from history and the world around him and we can then take some of our own inspiration from Kurosawa. The parallels are endless! A shunned man, who only one person respected, was on death's doorstep but refused to hide and run, he embraced it and took his death into his own hands betting it to become free in a raid, only to later become STRONGEST MAN NOBUNAGA. And What did I say last chapter?! Kurosawa needs to become active in his fate, get Nakane to help him or go strike them first. Running away won't break this cycle and like he fears it will only get worse with time. HE MUST FACE IT! Do what he did with Nakane and charge in... Kakkoii. So, I understand the point of setting up the attackers, making Kurosawa get used to them, then having them grow too strong, all so it could lead to his depression leading him to be forced to act and fight again I just wish it had a bit more going on during that than it did.

That said, I think it's only human that those legends tried to get their way around facing their problems in their own way. Maybe they didn't use an afro but they probably tried other things.

I like seeing how Fukumoto names his characters. Washizu, one of Owari's fortresses, is the the name of the main villain in Akagi. I'd wager Akagi is named after the Japanese aircraft carrier as you can also see love of battleships with the character Mario's shirt in Kaiji, and as a reference to the Nakane fight earlier. It's interesting and charming.
