| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Man talk bout a series that is just barely even recognized on MAL. I fee like im commenting to my self here. But in any case, the first episode was nice to see all the formal enimes in the last season reunite for the Jr japan team. Also Jun kensaki is finally back so im hoping to see more of him in this season. |

| Nice restart confirming the menaces and introducing a new threat: the stress the Boomerang Hook puts on its user. Enough to keep me interested. The sparkling love of Kiku seemed a bit fast, but it might rely on the "forgotten chapters". Her being the team coach is a good way to keep her around, but Kawai's sister has lost her place. "Sicilian dandy"? "italian junior mafia" (like this musical with mobster children)? XD 4/5 A nice 70s touch. DateYutaka said: not actively in the ring What? I fee like im commenting to my self here. Because the first half was clearly aimed at old readers of the manga, truncating a lot to start on a tournament arc. Of course, the biggest reason is the unfounded comparison with another animated series who used boxing in the same years: Hajime no Ippo. Because most people think "boxing", "tennis", or whatever are genres when they are simply backgrounds serving a story. |
