| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- No OP this time. The episode starts out really heavy, with Chihaya. Total flip from all the other episodes. It shows a bit of her past and her brother, she is so cute when she was a happy little kid. Chihaya's voice is fucked up becuase lol magical cancer. And Haruka tries to go to her house and cheer her up. Chihaya kind of yells at her so Haruka walks off and runs into her mother. She gives her a drawing book that Chihya had. And then in another visit, Haruka gives Chihaya the book and a letter to cheer her up. There's a tiny bit of Smoky Thrill when they show Ryuuguu Komachi. Chihaya shows up at the concert and all the girls console her, it's a pretty sweet moment. They also get a recolor of the luxury outfit. Chihaya goes on stage to sing, but her voice gives out again, and all the girls come out to support her, singing a new song. Chihaya finally sings, and she sounds really great. The song continues into the ED too. Really really good episode. The Chihaya suffering was great, and it was also really touching too. |

| This whole ep brought me to tears and Chihaya singing at the end nothing sort of beautiful and a miracle. 961's scoop on Chihaya was criminal and disrespectful, I'm down with trash tabs and paparazzi stuff but this went too far, that's serious emotional suffering Chihaya suffered and she lost her voice temporarily. |

This time Chihaya even smile with her beautiful voice and that's make it even better, she overcome her past with her brother, that's make she even better & stronger. | A really really good episode from iM@S this week. I just love the song that everyone wrote to cheer chihaya up. This episode brought me to tears. Haruka way to keep your role as the MAIN character in this show and keep everyone together no matter what. Song name : 約束 「Promise」 |

| Completely adored this episode... xD It was pretty agonizing for me to have to wait around 3-4 hours before I could finally watch it even though it was already out xD. It was definitely touching... Really liked the worry that everyone showed. I'm going to end up quoting a bunch XD... I might have interpreted it wrong... but oh wells xD. Makoto - "What is with this!? It's like their blaming Chihaya!" Yayoi - "Chihaya-san had a little brother..?" Yukiho - "Haruka-chan did you hear anything about it?" Chihaya - "All of it is true...The fact that I had a little brother...That it was my fault he lost his life...What my parents had spoken does not matter. I.... If I wasn't there, my brother would have never been in that accident. I have to sing, for my little brother." Doctor - "If this is the case, it's most likely due to her psychological state. There have been cases where people recovered over time... however..." Chihaya - "My little brother was one and only audience until that time. *car screech* I believed, 'I have to sing. For Yuu's sake, I have to continue singing.' But I can't anymore, I'm cornered - as an idol, as an older sister....*gets up from swing* As long as I'm unable to sing, I can no longer continue working.” Haruka - "And, if we can sing together again. All of us will be happy, even your little brother in heaven will surely-" Chihaya - "Stop it! Haruka, what do you know about Yuu and I?! Stop being meddlesome already!" Haruka - "Am I meddlesome?... I was told that by Chihaya-chan, to stop being meddlesome. I always said "Do your best! Do your best!" Not just to Chihaya-chan, everyone else as well. Maybe, it was causing unnecessary trouble or bothersome." Haruka - " Ehehehe... Chihaya-chan is laughing upfront on all of it.” Miki - "Did you draw that Haruka?" Haruka - "Ah, Miki. Not at all. This belongs to Chihaya-chan's little brother." Miki - "Eh? Then this is Chihaya-san?" Haruka - "Mmm... But..." Miki - "I've never seen Chihaya-san sing like this." Haruka - "Miki, you think so too?" Haruka - "I won't leave you alone! I won't, because I still want to work alongside you. On the stage, I want to sing together. I know I'm meddlesome. But... but even so, I want you to continue being an idol!" Letter - "To Chihaya-chan, though this is sudden, we made a new song. Everyone in 765 Pro made it.... Right now, everyone was thinking of how to convey our feelings, "I know, let's make a song!" Everyone happily agreed. Since it was our first time, we may have not done it that well... but every one of us, in order to send our feelings to you, we honestly made this song. | Most powerful song in this series yet. No matter how many times I rewatch the ending scene, the tears keep coming. For those who are wondering, the full version of "Yakusoku (約束)" will come out with THE IDOLM@STER ANIM@TION MASTER 06 album, due out on December 28. |

| While I'm not a huge fan of Idolmaster, and I was not completely satisfied with how they played things, it was still touching, and I'm glad they left it so late in the show, because this way I had enough time to get attached to Chihaya and the impact was well delivered. I admit I got blurry vision when ChibiChihaya entered the stage. A 5/5 for this, though it could have been even better. Ps: I love Chihaya's voice. |
