| Nice to check in with some of the old cast, now all grown up. I really like Ch-iChi being gung-ho about Gohan doing the tournament, it's a nice contrast from her usually oppressive demeanor. |
| gohan had given "commentary" on kuririn hair but not about his daughter lol. goku returning to earth was too rush in the anime and here too, there wasn't that much of foreshadowing here, like toiryama improvising the story as it goes... (my guess is, that toriyama planned this to be regular tournament arc, but as he found it plain he made changes) |
| Gohan's new costume with the bandana and sunglasses is a such a downgrade from the helmet, it just looks ugly instead of ugly-cool. And Goku returns! Really wish Gohan got more time to shine before Goku was reintroduced again. It hasn't been that long since he died. But I do like how the return for one day-thing is something that was established long ago with Grandpa Gohan. Kuririn with hair is probably one of the biggest design changes, but it does fit him. It is fun how his child is not explained or mentioned at all, she just stands there. Nice to see him and C18 are still together, but why are they at Kami house? Do they live there? Are they squatters? Do they have jobs? I really want some more details on the characters everyday life. |
