So, was I the only one who thought that Boss Garofoli looked similar to The Mad Hatter in Batman: TAS?

Good episode at any rate and I'm glad that Vitalis took Remi away from that place. Too bad about the other children though, I have a feeling that they'll suffer because of Mattia's minor rebellion towards the end.

Good god, Garofoli was an utter bastard to the children! Thank god Vitalis came in before he could whip the kids, and how he basically flips the bird to him. My 2 favourite parts of the episode are when Mattia throws a chair out of the orphanage, waves his byes to Remi, AND bites Garofoli's finger, and the ending part where Remi convinces Vitalis not to sell the instruments for not only how unrealitiscaly in today low they are going for, but also so they can keep using them, as they hold tones of sentimental value.

Hah hah, I was afriad for a second that this story would turn into Oliver Twist! "Please, sir, I want some more."

Although it seems like Remi dodged a bullet, the situation just gets worse and worse. It seems like Vitalis is about to die, and then it's going to be just Remi and the dog. This show is depressing :(

Damn, things are rapidly spiraling downwards again. Garofoli might just be the biggest asshole of the series so far (fighting over the spot with the cop that imprisoned Vitalis earlier). Those kids sure lead a harsh life. At first I was wondering how the hell Vitalis could leave Remi in the care of such a person especially considering his anti-begging philosophy, and I was so relieved when he took him with him at the end of the day. I guess Garofoli hasn't always been this cruel and bitter, otherwise Vitalis wouldn't be acquainted with him.
I was ready to mourn the violin and flute but was very glad when Remi convinced Vitalis not to sell them after all. Still, they don't have money or a place to stay and Vitalis is definitely getting more and more sick. This isn't gonna end well. I just hope Remi doesn't end up staying with Garofoli at any point in time.
I probably regret this post by now.

Vitalis FTW! Fuck Garofoli and his stupid face. I'm glad Remi didn't become a slave in this episode, would have been horrible to watch considering how depressing this series is.

Almost thought Vitalis might actually sell the equipments for a second there, glad he didn't.

Remi and Mattia's sincere joy of being able to meet again so soon was the only sweet/happy moment in this episode. I also appreciated his earnest attempt of saving Remi from that hateful place.

That "boss" was a despicable piece of scum and it was terrible to watch the unforgiving way he abused those helpless kids, I have no words for the living hell those poor souls are going through. I knew Mattia's circumstances couldn't be happy, but I didn't expect them to be so awful, I can only imagine how he was whipped for breaking that window, but I'm glad I don't have to see it, what we do see was already hard enough to stomach.

Vitalis arrived just at the right time, I was worried Remi would be silent and just accept being left there for his sake if Vitalis wasn't able to see what a despicable human being his former acquaintance became. That scene where he tried to sell his violin and his flute for so litte was painful too, I'm glad Remi was able to convince him otherwise, but I guess that even Vitalis won't last any longer now...
