Engrish you say? =P As far as this series goes... looking back at it now, some months after watching it, I still don't know entirely how I feel about the ending of this. Asa was not, is not, a bitch. She was a really good person. And in many ways was a very good thing for Rin. But she did a couple of things that made me feel anger towards here. Primarily she (unintentionally) "stole" Rin from Kaede. Although it's true that Rin never actually wanted to have anything to do with Kaede in a romantic way, it's also true that Asa knew (more than anyone else) just how much Kaede loved Rin. And yet, even knowing this, she proceeded to get involved with Rin. Again, Asa's involvement was somewhat unintentional at first, but later it becomes apparent that she has no intention of stopping anything once she realizes what's happened. To me, that's a betrayal that's hard to forgive, no matter how much of a good person she otherwise is. The second reason she upsets me was the whole "I won't use magic because I'm too good for that, so instead I'll just be selfish and die, leaving this guy that loves me all alone, etc. etc."... pretty lame. But whatever. Though... I'd be lying if I said that there wasn't a moment or two there where I was actually hoping she WOULD die, so that Kaede could have Rin back... <_<. And yes, I'm aware that would have made an even LESS healthy relationship between the two... but, well... ya know. At least I'd be happy. Haha. Celtic |

| I guess I could understand the whole abrasive personality thing but this series was just a hardcore ship sinker. The chicks do have their different things going on, none of them are the same, Asa on the other hand is like the older sister option. She's cute in a way that a fragile girl with serious health problems would be but she has the added benefit of a physically abusive and wise senior. I'm guessing she was chosen in the series because she was the most liked in the game. At the end though, if I were in Rin's shoes, I would have definitely slapped her dumbass. Personally, I would have gone with Sia+Kikyou twins. TWO completely different personalities, inheriting the king of the gods title, and the option to have a polygamous relationship, what's not to like? It means that you can probably bag Rina too. |

During that one scene where Asa walked in and Kaede...freaked, I was wishing Rin hadn't been there. That way no one would have stopped Kaede from killing Asa. And that would have been awesome. I don't know if "bitch" is the word I'd use. Maybe just idiot. And a terrible friend (I pretty much agree with everything in Celtic's post). Needless to say, I hate her. She's the first character I ever truly hated in anime and is probably still the one I hate most. |
