| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- They really should have returned that cart as soon as it arrived, there was no way someone as reckless as Capeta was going to be able to avoid using it :/ btw, how is he planning to pay the entrance fee and rental fees when they can't even afford his hospital bills? not to mention all the new hospital bills that will be generated by this race. if he really wants to do something, then he should be studying the differences between go carts and FS machines to prepare for the audition :/ needless to say, I've lost a lot of respect for Capeta for this incredibly stupid decision. The outcome of the race doesn't matter in slightest, no matter what place he finishes in he'll still lose, and what's worse, he'll drag his friends and family down with him :/ |
| Yes he seems to be letting his racing instinct pull him away from any logical thinking(Well he did the same thing the first time he discovered the kart his father was making). on the other hand his desire is kind of understandable considering he never got to race against those guys with a decent machine. When someone like him that has been driving and struggling with old half-ass karts gets a really good machine then it's kind of understandable that he will have a strong desire to drive it. |
| But by submitting to his desires, he's potentially going to screw himself over completely. He'll lose the audition due to his injury acting up, or he won't be going in top condition. I understand he's super passionate and wants to give the new kart a go, but his decision here is like betraying all the work everyone has done for him! Nobu's efforts to convince the head office of FSRS, Monami's new job, his father's back-breaking commitment... especially his father because it feels like it's getting serious. :( On top of hospital fees (I brought this up earlier), how can he afford to go to the 4th race?? Dammit, get Momotarou to sponsor you then!! |
| Momotarou was really nice enough to borrow Capeta, even though Monami didn't honor the agreement, I don't blame her though. I was more impressed by Momotarou's compassionate gesture though. Shige is also doing his best for that audition, working two jobs is no walk in the park. We've been getting these quiet atmospheric episodes lately, I'm actually digging them as they are a sort of "calm before the storm". |
