i think this episode was overly dramatic and long winded even for a sad past like shizuma's

The episode had a creepy feel to it, sad and kinda lonely. The rain and thunder added to the setting I suppose. It seemed as if she was still in love but not? Hm I don't know either way it was good, drawn out but good.

sometimes i wonder why they do the things the way they do :o like shizuma should've gone after nagisa when she ran back into the house and how could they go to sleep without taking another shower when they were drenched from the storm :o
and nagisa leaving without saying a word is not nice too, and how did she get back? did she have money for a taxi, didn't see anything to carry money :/

and how could nagisa run away from the crying shizuma? D: nagisa was sad, but so was shizuma.. that wasn't quite fair :/

Man, this was a tedious and overly dramatic episode, to the point of being a little hilarious. Like when Shizuma revealed the other Etoile's name, it was accompanied by a goddamn thunder and lightening, and a dramatic closeup. Were we supposed to go "fuck yeah, finally!" at that point?, because I didn't care one way or the other.

I was dying to know how Kaori died, and with this episode being overly dramatic I thought it must have been some incredibly sad way. But it wasn't even revealed this episode -_-

Music was sad though

When Nagisa went to the cliff, I though hmm maybe Shizuma accidentally pushed Kaori down the cliff. It was giving off that vibe.

The episode was too dramatic. Honestly, Nagisa is getting annoying. She runs away from her, yet she wants to keep seeing her.

Nagisa's basically just skittish, the way I figure - it seems to me like her basic instinctive reaction to an uncertain situation is to put some distance between it and her until she can think straight.

I get the feeling that that breakdown was two years in the making - that is, she bottled it up and refused to let it happen when it really should have, so it forced its way out when the right kind of provocation came up. No wonder she seemed so emotionless at the beginning. I think I speculated something like that around that point, but it's been long enough that I've forgotten. XD

I disliked the musical direction in this ep - the occasional creep-out sound just felt out-of-place, and as was noted earlier, the thunderclap when Shizuma revealed Kaori's name was completely nonsensical. All they succeeded in doing for me with such things was making me wonder if Shizuma was about to turn black-widow or something.

Goddammit, now I bet we're in for another ep of moping. -.- Maybe we'll get lucky and have an ep of Hikari and Amane getting somewhere, but that doesn't seem to be the MO of this series...

My heart is breaking for these two girls. I felt, a long depression coming into view from Shizuma. she really loved Kaori. She needs to admit that yes, it was or is love, and not anything less than that. Nagisa should not have run off. not once but twice in a single frame and she walked all the way to school alone, depressed. unsure of well, just about everything. Though she loves Shizuma. and she knows she does.

I feel that maybe this all was too soon for both of them. You never get over the person you love dying or having something else tragic happen to them. that is a memory you carry with you. and it eats at your heart. IT haunts you,and you cannot let it go. Shizuma should have gone through grief counseling. Instead she either forced herself to bottle up all the sorrow or her feelings of sadness were simply brushed off or ignored by herself.

They really should've had another shower after getting drenched again. I can't believe she ran off in to the rain again.

Shizuma and Kaori were totally in love and it was beautiful.

They didn't really reveal that much about it though, I expected far more in this episode.

Nagisa shouldn't have left in the end without telling Shizuma, that was mean. Well, I doubt she had any money for a taxi so I assumed she walked. But since they went part way in a car to get there I'd say it must've taken more than an hour to walk there.

Yeah, delaying the reveal of her past with all that drama was frustrating and made everything seem pretty melodramatic.

I'm sure what happened is really sad, but the viewer still doesn't know what the fuck is going on, so stretching things out like this makes it lose impact imo...

This episode is tense, and keeps waiting..
Why Nagisa ran, though?.. .. Damn, even outside in this storm..
I mean.. Was it because Shizuma was saying "Kaori, Kaori"?.. Well, I mean.. Even if Shizuma was remembering Kaori, maybe even seeing Nagisa as Kaori at that moment.. So what?.. Was Nagisa afraid of something?.. They really should have talked it out, it didn't mean that Nagisa had to become a substitute or anything, they really could come out to any thing, really.. But they came nowhere.. Well.. I guess, Shizuma made mistakes at her time, being rapey at first, now it's Nagisa's turn to make mistake by running out of overbearing situation.. Because I can't interpret it any other way.. Well, maybe they'll get over each other's mistakes, and will arrive somewhere..
Well, I guess, Kaori reminds Chikaru a bit?.. But well, hard to say anything..

This was an intense episode, so melodramatic. I guess I could understand why Nagisa ran away from the mansion, Shizuma is still sorting out her feelings for Kaori. Nagisa sort of feels like a rebound to her, and she couldn't take it.

Can't wait for the next episode.

Ok Ive just got to comment on this one episode. I find it hilarious how the episode is like super serious and it ends on a cliffhanger then all you hear it DU DU DUU DUU!!!! as the ending plays XD.

Love Strawberry Panic though. By far one of the best yuri anime. It knows when to have fun and not have drama around every corner for the sake of it. Then when it wants to have the big drama its one event that is centeral around the story and is done well. Im sick of yuri anime throwing drama at us all the time. (Or just romance anime in general). Citrus being the biggest culprit. But Strawberry Panic man is just a beautiful balance of the two, has cute girls and yuri, has PLENTY of episodes and is a full series, has a story, and finally just has great characters. There is so few yuri anime that have all these. Most of the time they either dump the story, dump the runtime, or dump the nice cute stuff for constant drama as if we need something intense happening all the time. Runtime is probably the biggest thing with yuri anime so im happy to see new yuri anime coming out that are full 12 episode, 24 minute series. Nothing is gonna top Strawberry Panic though lol.

Pretty good, but a little overly dramatic episode.

So, her name was Kaori. Poor Shizuma. She still miss her very much.

First time I thought the mellodrama kinda went too far, which is really saying something. It's mostly on Nagisa's end for running away and stuff. Shizuma's obviously fucked up because of the past, so it's understandable that she's not being very good at talking, but it is kinda annoying with Nagisa. Not really out of character for her though

Man. If you're going to go the over-dramatic drama route then at least try to do it in style. No style here. Just kinda... drama happening. Lots of running.

Is it even legal to make such beautiful anime?

This is beyond the bounds, this is the level of high art.

Like, have you seen this atmosphere - autumn, falling leaves, mansion architecture, its interiors, the rain running down the windows, a thunderstorm and this is just the atmosphere - but this direction, this voice acting, this instrumental music in the background, these softly conveyed emotions?

This is the level of cinematography of the early-mid 20th century, no less, im serious.

Im angry at myself for not watching this anime earlier. One of my favorites now, definitely.
