Very great show for everyone who likes yandere's Promise long time ago -> Girl still think boy after many years and takes promise "bit" too seriously Something dark happened to girl when she was younger, she wasn't anymore same person than she was. Azusa.. that pale and beautiful girl from past.. hid something very bad inside her.. passionate love towards Yuzuru, boy who made promise with her. Yeah, Yuzuru got girlfriend during this time and when Azusa got heard about this it made her mad. She thought that Yuzuru still love her (It's old promise from the past, get over it) But no, she killed few guys who was after her and almost killed Yuzuru's girlfriend. When she was dying in the end, she become desperate and tried to strangle Yuzuru with her hairs, but little later got killed by Yuzuru's girlfriend. 5/5 |

This little supernatural "fright movie" centered on a love triangle was an easy watch. The atmosphere and the few moments of suspense were well built. I rarely see real animated horror stories like this. I would buy the one-shot anthology just to read the original. Enjoyment: 4/5 Score: 6/10 |

This was actually really good. The song is kinda catchy and I would love if this was made 2016 instead or 1987, but... |

It´s a very nice OVA. If it would have more duration minutes and had developed a little better, it could have been even better, because the mystery of the firsts minutes with the terror and blood of the rest of the film was enough to keep anyone glued to the screen! 7/10 for me! |

this wasn't bad, but nothing about it really stood out to me either ah yes, arranged marriage in childhood, it's not a Rumiko anime until that happens *facepalm* the pretas just look like leeches her mother's solution to Azuza having pretas in her shadow is to choke her...okay, why not start with an exorcism before jumping to extreme measures? |

It felt like John Carpenter directed a J-horror Anime, witch pretty much combines my three favorit things on this planet. |

Pretty enjoyable to be honest. Demonic evil powers aside, it did a good job at telling an obsessed stalker type story. Horror is really hard to create in anime/manga, however psychological horror is a strong suit for the medium, and this OVA did a good job with exactly that. Azusa's demonic powers didn't feel too necessary for the plot, most of it could have been done without imo. But hey, anime allows for this type of fiction to exist, and it certainly had some cool moments. Only real downside I feel like is the lack of an epilogue. Could have benefitted from at least one or two more minutes at the end to have a little better conclusion. Solid 8/10 for me. I definitely enjoyed it. |

Love the "Rumic World!" at the start of these OVAs. Okay. I didn't expect this OVA to be so creepy. I started watching it expecting nothing after watching the last 2 OVAs so this really surprised me. Some scenes in this OVA reminded me of Ringu. I could immediately recognize Hiromi Tsuru voicing Azusa. She sounds as sexy as always. Really weird anime with a weird ending. The "post-credits" show a photo of Yuzuru and Satomi with Satomi fading away. Does that imply that Azusa won in the end? Goddammit. I'll just ignore that. This might be a very early example of a "yandere" in an anime. Just Rumiko Takahashi being ahead of time as always. The English dub of this OVA was made with British actors. But this isn't like Urusei Yatsura's British dub. Might be worth rewatching just for that. |

good adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi first works, when she was´t in comedy yet. Nothing complex, but good enough for Yami shibai / Shinji Ito fans. |

Classic Japanese Yokai Onna themes. Played out like a condensed modern version of a ghost story. Nice animation example from that era. Recommended for fans of the supernatural who like this era of animation. |

That post credit scene tho, chills. This was a perfectly fine dark and tragic stand alone horror story, might rewatch it on Halloween with some buddies |

Loved the theme of this OVA, it's like watching a real horror movie, too bad it's a one-shot, I'll give it an 8, it's rare to find great OVAs like this one, and I loved the OST a lot. |
