| This series was pretty good although it ending on a cliffhanger with no second season is kinda disappointing. Guess ill have to read the manga though I hear that got cut off as well, to bad I feel this had a lot of potential and would have liked to have seen more of it :/. But overall I enjoyed it 7/10 |

| 1970s yakuza police captain turned out to be a pretty cool dude This feels like a 26 episode series that got cut to 13 midway through. Or was always intended to just act as advertising for the manga, since it introduced new characters very late in the game. So, was Sakura only inside Ranmaru while inside the hole or is she still inside his body once they leave? What bugs me about this ending is seeing Sakura wake up with these questions unanswered. Is her body now a vessel for an enemy phantom or is her soul back in her body? Overall, I enjoyed this anime. Bare-breasted women with weapons is my aesthetic. Butt-naked Kureha in episode 12 is hard to top. Beautiful *chef's kiss* Liked Saya and Sakura too. Ryoko is hotter to me without glasses and lipstick, but she's good too. I'm not sure what the logic of her using a gun was, except maybe to slow the demons enough for someone to actually kill them. I feel shades dude was written to be killed off, since he never talked despite having some backstory. Still, the crapsack universe factor that requires the characters kill each other to finish the mission is too depressing for me, so even if the anime did cover the complete story to the last few gate pieces, I probably would not want to finish it. |

| Whelp, that was an odd finale. It was pretty underwhelming, honestly. The entire show was pretty poor, and it felt like the plot was being stretched too much. I didn't really enjoy this show. |

| Watched this back in 2006 but totally forgot about it and never added it to mal. Came across it again, i decided to rewatch it to refresh my memory of it and.. it started good but it fell from grace really really fast. Alot of wasted potential. It's none the less an easy watch and mildly enjoyable if you ignore the blatant flaws. |
