| So I did not image things seeing poster from "Bubblegum Crisis" :-) Overall it was good watch. It seems it would work better as TV series. |

| This one was pretty pretty meh to me. I had a hard time understanding what was going on the entire anime and everything was just happening and there was no build up of any of the new characters so it was hard to be invested in anything as well. I hope the next part is better. |

| The planet at the beginning looking like a chess board reminded me of Evangelion lol. And the Solnoid commander looked kinda like Gepelnitch from Macross 7. Solnoid forces' flagship also looked like the Protodeviln flagship from Macross 7. The Paranoid one probably took inspiration from some asteroid bases or just "alien spaceships" in general. Judging by the ages of the "new lifeform" and Rumy on Earth, around 15-20 years have passed since the events of episode 1? I'm not sure about that but I think some holograms (e.g. of Catty) were CGI? Pretty impressive given that its usage in anime was pioneered (?) only 4 years earlier in the Golgo 13 movie, which was definitely a more impressive production than an OVA like this (even though it improved its animation and voice acting compared to its predecessor), and I imagine having the hardware and software for CGI was pretty expensive back then. Shildy looks pretty similar to Naomi from BGC 4. P.S. Seems like Lufy didn't get told about the fates of her crewmates after all. |
