Saddest episode ever ;_;

I like how the ending didn't cut away to the normal ED music but instead extended the animation. It was a nice ending but still tinged with sadness.

An absolutely beautiful episode. This is the pinnacle of anime, real life and fantasy clashing. Anyone who is looking for a true experience in their anime, rather than just watching two characters hit each other, HAS to watch this episode.

This is definitly the most touching anime episode I've ever seen. It's one more proof of Doremi being one of the best anime series out there.

I knew this episode would not end well since they agreed that she would be a witch, but i still FUCKING RAGE'D! She was such a sweet girl; I actually teared up this episode.

How can a kiddy show do this to me? D:

This was extremely sad ): even though I saw it coming, this was just too sad. I guess some things are just not meant to be. How nice of Doremi to stick with her until the very end, though.

God this episode.

I knew already for over a year what was going to happen and even though my eyes were mostly dry while watching it, the feeeeeeeeeels. It could have been a lot sadder considering her death happened offscreen, but it was still plenty emotional, especially in the ending with the kids at Mahou-dou.

Dat fang. So much cuteness. And I love how her bandana has witch hats on it.

I really wish it didn't end this way, but considering this was made after Dokkan finished, it would have been odd for Doremi to make such a close friend and then not see her at all throughout Dokkan.

This episode proved me wrong when I said a character introduced in three or less episodes couldn't make me care when they died, Ojamajo Doremi is just that good a show. Now I can see why there are so many fix-fics that bring Non-chan back.

Even though Naisho gets the lowest rating for the series so far (we'll see when Dokkan gets completely subbed) this episode more than makes up for the shortcomings of this 13 episode OVA.

I knew about this episode before I even started Doremi. The writing was fantastic here, they really knew how to write Non-chan's character and the episode without making it feel cheap. Although I heard she had cancer, but it turns out that she actually had brain tumor.

I am too weak for this episode to describe the sorrow I had when Doremi dealt with the loss of her new friend.

I really like the message in this series. Magic, though can gave a form of temporarily happiness, cannot bring upon true happiness. She never wished for recovery not just to accept her impeding fate but to appreciate the remaining life she had before she was gone. The little bit of things I like is how the death was executed. There wasn't a bit of overly-melodramatic scenes of 'last-words' as a manipulative tactics but her simply disappeared off-screen without saying goodbye upon the passage of time in reflective of the use of seasonal changes. I really like that we don't know about her illness and the degree of it except that she suffered from a "serious diseases".

If you read her profile description, it’s told that her disease was leukaemia. I don’t know if that’s what was inferred from the treatment she was taking, or if it’s proven by the staff. But either way, a heart breaking episode for certain.

Holy shit the feels hammer, one of the best Doremi episodes for sure.

Non-chan and Doremi interactions were so touching, we all knew how this was going to end yet it hurt so hard, Non-chan with the help of Doremi and friends managed to at least get close to her dream of being a magical girl, even if she wasn't the one using the powers (maybe?) Seeing her mother going to visit Doremi to tell the news was heartbreaking, wondeful execution.

I'm in tears over this episode. It's so sad, yet it's such a wonderfully written episode that showcases the best Doremi has to offer. I adore this series so much.

Gorgeous story, flawlessly executed over the span of *only* twenty-three minutes. This episode pretty much cemented Doremi-chan as one of my favorite characters to ever grace this medium. She's usually our clumsy, tomboyish heroine yet always cheerful and showing infinite compassion for others. Her gaining more dignity as a big sister to Pop over the course of the series, from whom she receives so much respect now was already something to marvel at. But here I've got to admit seeing her face full of sorrow was almost too much for this grownup man's heart to handle.

I hope Dokkaan will have similarly "mature" episodes.

Everyone already said everything what needed to be said. It was beautiful episode, splendidly directed and proving that anime aimed at children can also be really smart and mature.

I have just only one question - why Doremi didn't turn into witch frog when she revealed herself to Nozomi as a witch apprentice?

Man rewatching this episode gave me so much dread, since I already knew what was going to happen & obviously being powerless to stop it. Though even if it were real I couldn’t do anything to stop it, and that’s another reason why this episode is so admirable. This anime is very much one that promotes optimism, but it doesn’t ignore the fact that really bad things DO happen, but I love that it wasn’t like Doremi’s optimism was useless, since at the very least it made Non-chan’s last days way more precious, cause that’s the kinda person Doremi is.

Edit: Now I wonder, is there an alternate timeline fanfiction fans wrote where Non-chan lives & becomes a witch apprentice, there must be, right?
