| Damn pretty good ending, even when it's an open ending! When they were heading to that disconnected train car, you just knew it was going to blow :/ quite sad though but at least brother and sister reunited to then have her been taken away again! A bit of a shame this series never continued but all by all the overall story progression was pretty solid and the overall atmosphere was great! So a very good anime in general I must say. |

| *overly dramatic sigh* Over and over again, Gun Frontier proved that it knows nothing of quality storytelling but this ending was without a doubt the biggest plot hole this series had to offer. After all that hard work, after all those frustrating hours spent waiting for something to happen, it turns out that the heroes accomplished nothing. There's a reason why this piece of shit never got a second season. |
| I can't believe they made this 30 years after the manga and still ended it with a cliffhanger! 😡 Most of us can't even read the ending since it hasn't been translated. |

| Lol, ended with a cliffhanger. It was a decent story. (Good when you are 'spamming' the Ginga Tetsudou 999/Captain Harlock and the other franchise. If they ever gonna make a S2. I will watch it. |
| Cliffhanger ending. finally finished it after 3 years. what can I say about this show it had a bizarre story,Sinunoras gets stripped naked in each episode for some reason but I'm giving it an 8/10 for being different. and damn it was made 30 years after the manga was published? that's crazy. |
| It seems people don't understand but the story is adapted from an early 1970's manga and anyone knows that manga from early 1970s carried alot of the tropes from 60's which had all kinds of racism, sexism, objectification of females and were treated more like anthologies rather then cohesive naratives so you can't really fault it that much for being a product of its time. I mean this was even before the era of Video games, this is a very old work. I hope that you can tell that, by just looking at the character designs as well. But Despite that, that opened cliffhanger was kind of pointless and served to return the story back to its original idea. Being a manga adaptation made 34 years after its manga, i expected a complete story. 6/10. This also being my introduction to Leiji's Verse gives me not the greatest expectations from what I heard about the pioneer of space opera lol Oh well Submarine Super 99 is next. |
