So the PLW is one of my favourite arcs, and I thought the reception for it was pretty high? But, lately I've been seeing more and more posts like the one below that say otherwise. So I thought why not see what this forum thinks?

As for my own thoughts regarding this post, it doesn't make much sense? A lot of what they say should've been different doesn't even make sense.

I thought it was rushed and in some ways didn't match what I thought the foreshadowing was until further reflection. Then I realized that I just hadn't considered that Horikoshi
. Then the ending made more sense to me but I still didn't like the pacing

I have yet to see a war arc in ANY *show that really blows me away. I’d say that this one was better than most because it gave a lot of closure to a lot of character’s stories. I will agree that it felt rushed at times and people who could’ve been key players went underutilized. But all in all? Not too bad. It’s some of the best my hero content we’ve gotten in a while, but not in terms of writing. I wouldn’t call it “mindless fun,” but it definitely leans more on rule-of-cool and emotional impact rather than complex storytelling.

PLW is easily one of the best arcs in mha from any point of view possible, wether you worry about storytelling, writing, action, emotion, impact, creativity, etc…

The criticism makes no sense. When someone writes a story, he doesn’t seek for realism, he seeks to tell his story by any means necessary. It would make no sense, it’s like saying gon’s father shouldn’t have abandoned him for whatever reasons.

-Bakugo dying doesn’t make sense either, what justifies his death ? Why him and not endeavor’s for instance ?

-Hawks could’ve done far worse. Life is not perfect, we all make errors daily.

-Eri is an incredibly important asset to have, if she would’ve been on the battlefield, the league would’ve focused on her.

This arc has its flaws but it’s definitely one if not the most narratively compelling in MHA.

fully agree lmao, Eri in battle? this is a literal six year old, no-one in Class 1-A allowing ts.

Hawks literally couldn't have said anything differently, Twice would never have betrayed the villains.

Bakugo dying this early would've been shit since we don't get a proper apology to Deku.
