When I was first reading this series I had lots of fun with it. But the thing is, I don’t remember half of the characters name, the antagonists, how the power system works, or what the goal of the villain was. I thought that there weren’t any memorable fights in the manga either. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

You're right ngl, I know there were a few hype moments and a nice ending but I remember like 3 names and nothing else.

I started watching it because of the hype when the anime was released, so I actually enjoyed the fights and some of the characters... But really, it's all quite forgettable.

This isnt a very original complaint by any metric. So I don't ramble i'll just say that almost everything that's not like 8.5/10 and up is largly forgotten because of the mass avaliability of, any media nowadays.

“Forgettable fun” sums up jigoraku pretty well. I loved it but can’t remember much.

you would prefer plot and characters expanded and inflated over 300+ more chapters like most of the biggest shonens? I prefer modern shonens being this length, it lets us move on to the next one without repeating the same plot we all know for too long.

The anime will help with all of this, I hope new series follow the same idea. It's not the 2000s anymore, not everyone wants reading/watching to be a massive time investment

That's maybe because it's that type of manga you can read in a couple of days lol

I love the cast and the sheer brutality, it would've much more memorable if the last arc didn't suck and MAPPA's lazy adaptation doesn't help much either
