Madan no Ichi Chapter 17 Discussion

This chapter ranked 18th out of 21 series in the popularity poll.
The previous chapter ranked 15th out of 21.
The popularity is quickly slipping in Japan.
Ranking below 15 is a dangerous sign.

if only you knew how the rankings worked you wouldn’t sound so silly. The rankings reflect the chapter from 7 weeks before. The bad rankings are from the shark chapters, which were received very poorly everywhere. Reception has been great ever since those chapters, so yeah, we will see. The volume selling 20k in 2 days proves that it’s doing amazing.

Also, you sound very desperate to make it look like this manga is doing bad and it’s in danger to other people, just because you clearly don’t like the manga. Both from the comments of this chapter and the previous one. It’s fine if you don’t like the manga, but what are you doing all of this for?

I honestly had high hopes for the Ichi, but it isn't living up to the expectations that I had after chapter 1. I stick with it hoping it will get back to that level but so far it has struggled to do so.

Furthermore, I am getting tired of you guys getting your panties in a twist every time someone has a difference of opinion than you do. I am not an echo chamber or robot, I can actually think. I have read over 100 manga and watched nearly 500 anime. I am not new to this at all. I am way past the point of giving every new shiny story a 10/10 right of the bat.

Honey, in fact, the first 7 chapters despite being “ranked” are not actually ranking, but put there by default by WSJ. Any person that actually thinks otherwise know nothing about how rankings and WSJ survey polls work. The actual ranking that’s worth any data is from chapter 8 onwards, which reflect the survey poll results of the first chapter lmao. Chapter 9 will reflect results for chapter 2, and so on. Do your research better next time. That was embarrassing for you.

Clearly we have very different taste in manga/anime sadly I can see that you're one of those people who gets easily offended when someone thinks differently than you.
