Why is it so different from manga covers? In manga it was always shows to be nice really pink hair, but anime made a big change so it looks more purple. I guess it might be just studios style, but am I the only one bothered by this? I am someone who absolutely loves pink hairs and it was one of the rare manga that I read a bit before anime was announced. I got used to it after few episodes and absolutely loved the anime, I just wish they didn't mess up the colors from what they are supposed to be, it's the only anime that did this I think.

@apote exactly, as a character I absolutely love her tho and in certain scenes even that hair color looked very nice, she even used to be in my top 10 favorites when I watched it, but yea manga version of her is way more beautiful. I shouldn't expect anime to make her as detailed and nice, but they could have at least tried to make colors more accurate.

For the difference ask Kobayashi Chizuru(character design for the series) and Kanamaru sensei why she approved them .

Maybe it was just easier to animate - there’s a lot more detail on the manga cover compared to the anime. Looks good either way if u ask me

Colour palette being slightly different between adaptations is so common it's not ever something noticeable.

Honestly I'm with anime. She looks more unique. In The manga cover below, she looks kind of Basic.

I am a big fan of the series am caught up with the manga and I say this is fine because not every adaptation is perfect just be happy it got a adaptation

I loved this anime and I’m still hoping for a sequel.

I actualy think that the anime chose a more unique color than the illustration in the image below.

There are a lot of female MCs that have “pinkish” hair, but I don’t think many female MCs have this “purplish” hair color (to my knowledge), so she stands out more in the anime and compared to other female MCs.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I loved this anime and I’m still hoping for a sequel.

I actualy think that the anime chose a more unique color than the illustration in the image below.

@tonitoni8 true,also she did look gorgeous in certain scenes with that hair, I'm just a big fan of true pink color like in cover, but it's true that it's overused and basic compared to what anime got us.

Guess I'll never know which I would rly prefer animated, but she did still become one of my favorites even with that color.

Its really just an artistic choice from the production team. The colour palet in the anime makes everything pops, the hair, the eyes, the clothes and even the furniture. When you compare the cover pictures colour palet to the screenshot is the manga's more cool and more realistic, which is beautiful but not as eye catching.

So as mentioned from some of the people above, an artistic choice and for being more memorable.

Also I'm more after the eyes, since they don't match their partners hair colour as much, as they do in the manga illustrations.

I'll give it 2 or 3 more years for potential sequel and only then maybe read. Good VA's and music make such a big difference in enjoyment, all manga has going for it great art.

@Akanekino if that would be the case then why Vagabond is unadaptable? Why Berserk is not able to get a proper adaptation? Why multiple LN adaptation cut stuff because LN have many words in them? Manga and LN have more that just art it's just your own bias that is unable to understand that both medium work differently and for different reasons. Also great art then how about trash art like SnK that the anime elevate it? The art is trash and it's only in the anime that it's actually good and for Berserk is the other way around. So it's definitely not a definite rule set in stone.

most likely they did it to make her stand out more, as I think she would look plain in the anime compared to the bright hair colours of other characters.

They used darker tone of things so as to stimulate the sensation of mature subject matters, which is to prevent Nippon from further sinking/shrinking. Simply as that. But they've been fighting the wrong enemy.
