Pacing/story so insane that this will be definitely one volume story!

I thought it was interesting. I originally read the synopsis and thought this would be a psychological thriller like Perfect Blue where what is real and what is not is not immediately clear with hints of The Summer Hikaru Died, but this takes much more after the latter. Chika clearly is not human.

So onto this chapter, and I am somewhat...confused. I understand the notion that familial obligations can produce resentment, but Ryota has tried to kill his brother numerous times and is seemingly aware of his supernatural nature, depending on the circumstances.

Now, he takes care of his brother because of what I assume is out of obligation for his mother and father, but it seems that Ryota should not have any actual feelings of love for Chika in this situation by this point. Now, maybe he is being manipulated magically by the entity (Which given the ending of this chapter may be the case, at least using memory erasure), but I am not sure that would be satisfying because then the conflict between familial love and contempt would not effectively exist, right?

Maybe Hayato and everyone else are supposed to be our "normal" POV characters. I am interested in seeing where this goes, but I felt the manga played its hands way too quickly, and I honestly think it should have held off and built mystery.
