Just "It's My Go!!!" as far as I know since it's a direct sequel to it.

Should probably watch It’s MyGo!!!!!. It provides important context for Ave Mujica, without it it’ll be hard to understand a lot of things.

The 3D is hard to watch in Bang Dream! S2, but otherwise the whole thing is a great binge watch. The background characters in MyGo!!!! and Ave Mujica are main characters from earlier storylines plus you’ll know all the schools, who attends which, who all the other girl bands are and their members and music styles, and probably end up with a playlist of excellent tunes as well. It’s also nice to see the connection between Rana from MyGo and her grandma, who is important in S1. Maybe leave out Argonavis tho, it barely connects at all to anything.

you only need to watch MyGo since its a direct sequel to that and MyGo is afaik not related to the rest of the series but its own thing

Beyond the "glass zombie" CGI style in MyGo, the whole drama plot also feels forced and manufactured. There is good reason Bandori fans look forward to the Avoid Note collab with Girls Band Cry as the franchise's saving grace. If 3D animation of Avemuji remains the same as used in MyGo then it'll be hard to sell to viewers.

I found the forced drama really irritating and out of place for a Bandori anime, more annoying than Argonavis even, but that was watching it week by week. Somehow, when I rewatched it recently in 2 sessions, it was much easier. I don’t think the CGI style will put off many fans either, speaking as one of them. Only elitist snobs let art style dictate what they watch, most people are happy to take whatever they can get within reason. And the music justifies everything else where Bushiroad’s efforts are concerned.

After watching MyGO, you're definitely better off watching MyGO first before Ave Mujica for context reasons and setup.
